Formatting guideline proposal

This page is currently a formatting guideline proposal.

If consensus is reached on the talk page, it will become an accepted guideline.

These formatting guidelines apply to all build articles.

[edit] General guidelines

  • Avoid bullet point lists; keep content in essay form.
  • Treat readers as beginners, not veterans.
  • Addressing the reader is possible, though not necessary.
  • Avoid writing in first person.
  • Avoid subjective sentences and evaluation.

[edit] Naming

  • Use the name most commonly used in-game for the build. Take note of the general naming conventions.
  • If there are several common names for the same build concept, create redirects for the other names.

[edit] Disallowed

  • No credits are allowed on the build page.
  • Avoid providing a skill bar or attribute list in the build explanation. However, you should introduce and explain the important skills and attributes.

Explain, in a short paragraph, the basic idea or inspiration behind the build.

Describe and explain in detail the key skills and mechanics for the build.

===Side skills===
Suggest other skills that may be good replacements for one or more key skills.
Always explain why variant skills are suggested; do not merely list them.

==Battle behavior==
Provide some general walkthrough or explanation on build usage.
Use one or more of the following for the specific areas of the game.
