Currently, this template does not seem to be working. -- Gordon Ecker 05:22, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

It's a MediaWiki bug. https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10466 poke | talk 11:14, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Image

I had tried to update a image on our guild page I have tried using few different templates. But when ever try anything and get a image to be show still get the 150px and cant seem to get rid of it. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guild:The_League_Of_Death_Warriors

Fixed, just upload now ;) poke | talk 18:42, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Border problem

When viewing User:Diagoro Leonine's profile, I got a border problem in which the entire GWW tool bar (including the GWW shield image) shifted into the text of the page. I'm trying to make sure if this is just me or not, before I upload a problem image. --TalkPeople of Antioch 20:48, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

That is not a wiki problem, that is a coding problem on that site. poke | talk 21:04, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
fixed. poke | talk 21:05, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Failing Sender ID

Emails sent using email user from this wiki get tagged my Hotmail as phising (no sender ID). As spam by yahoo, and AoL blocks them. So...where is it breaking? Dominator Matrix 05:11, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

Just click allow sender on Windows Live. — Eloc 20:34, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Still on the other end what stops them from at that point just piling into the junk folder? 68.151.27.108 22:28, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
In windows hotmail it gives you a red bar. Says its been blocked for saftey, and says to delete it. Allowing still shows the warning. And it shows up in the junk folder. IDK but is this always happen or just happens to the email to yourself option? Dominator Matrix 00:26, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
This bug only happens to emails getting sent to yourself which is werid Dominator Matrix 03:03, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
When it's in the junk folder, click on it once and click on the button that should say "Not junk" and that should allow it to now appear in your inbox. — Eloc 18:12, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Yes Eloc, but I don't think people @ arenanet have the same function. But it did get there. I have notifed hotmail staff (there fixing it). So this is solved/fixed Dominator Matrix 21:20, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

404 Not Found

Not Found

The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server.

I keep getting an error page titled 404 Not Found when going to different pages on the wiki, it seems to be random - sometimes it will work fine other times it won't. Any idea what is causing it? --Kakarot Talk 18:31, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

server down, maybe some burnt cables. i have it, too. - Y0_ich_halt Have a look at my page 18:35, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Quick downtime

Heya guys! There are a couple of wiki problems going down right now that we're looking into. This is affecting the front page images, and a few other things. We may need to pull the site down for just a second to get things back in order. The downtime will be very brief, but I wanted to give ya a heads up. Sorry about the inconvenience :) --Image:UserEmilyDiehlStar.gif Emily Diehl (talk) 19:50, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Would the error be the images showing up as there filenames and not there icons? (EG like on the main page...) Dominator Matrix 20:41, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
I would guess so. Seems to be only .pngs affected, .jpgs and .gifs are ok (as far as I've seen). --Pling! \ Brains12 \ Talk 20:42, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Its not affecting my images...at least on my character pages. So some vandal did something....Dominator Matrix 20:44, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Whenever I click on the files for those images affected it says this:Warning: This file may contain malicious code, by executing it your system may be compromised.
I saw that when I flagged a image for being corrupted...oh boy. Dominator Matrix 20:46, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Why did you remove my sig I re-added. OMG TROLLZ BANZ HIM EMSEDIATLEE MR. PLINGGGGGGANATOR!!1!--The Forsaken One 20:48, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Its a IE issue it likes to place a cursor where it likes....Dominator Matrix 20:50, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
oh ok, BTW that was a joke about having brains banning u ;)--The Forsaken One 20:53, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Someones going to have to move this to the talk as its WAYY off topic! Dominator Matrix 20:54, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
hehehe ooops, my bad( it was probably my falt this is so off topic )--The Forsaken One 20:56, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

(reset indent) Yup, it's got something to do with .pngs right now. I know that the team is looking at it as we speak, so I'll keep you all updated :) --Image:UserEmilyDiehlStar.gif Emily Diehl (talk) 20:58, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

I hear a security patch wasn't patched echoing somewhere. Oh and some jpgs are affected, but not recent ones. Dominator Matrix 21:01, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Emily, I don't know if it will help, but when I refreshed the image page after first seeing that corrupted warning, it didn't give me the warning, but the image was just a white box and said its size was 0x0. Couldn't reproduce that, though (every other time I refreshed it gave the warning). ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 21:04, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Same here, must be that warning....*scanning* Dominator Matrix 21:08, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'm in contact with the folks fixing the issue, so I'll pass this stuff along to them. From what they've told me, they know what's going on, and are working to resolve it. Again, I am super sorry for the downtime/broken time. --Image:UserEmilyDiehlStar.gif Emily Diehl (talk) 21:11, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Ok now I don't see the logos for A.Net or the background. Still fixing? Nevermind! Dominator Matrix 18:15, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Seems to be fixed on GWW.. but it's now happening on GW2W (it was fine before). --Pling! \ Brains12 \ Talk 18:25, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, Brains. I'll pass it along right away. --Image:UserEmilyDiehlStar.gif Emily Diehl (talk) 22:35, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Just noticed that my previous comment didn't turn up on recent changes or the page history. Meh? --Pling! \ Brains12 \ Talk 18:37, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
How does it look for you now, Brains? --Image:UserEmilyDiehlStar.gif Emily Diehl (talk) 18:40, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Page history

Brains' comments aren't showing up in page history here, but going through the diffs you can see them. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 01:41, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Alright, I figured this out. The server time keeps changing by four hours back and forth. If I edit now at 10:01 EST, but the server goes back four hours before someone else edits the same page at 10:03 EST, their edit looks like it happened at 6:03 EST, and that's where it shows on the history. I think. It's confusing, though, because the server time seems to only change for some things (the diffs still show all edits in the right order) and all sorts of stuff like that. But this problem is caused by the weird randomly-changing-by-four-hours thing. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 02:03, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Also, I noticed this when WanderingTraveler responded to something on his talk and it showed up halfway down my watchlist ;) ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 02:04, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
The same seems to be happening on GW2 wiki (they are on the same server after all :). Take a look at the RC the evidence is obvious there - a page is edited before it is listed as newly created. I was making changes to pages and not seeing the change on the resulting page after the update. It was a little confusing. --Aspectacle 04:00, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
IDK why its happening, but it needs to stop. A vandal could get away with things this way....Dominator Matrix 07:00, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi guys...I just asked about this and found out that it was fixed early this morning. If you still notice it happening, please let me know right away so I can pass it along. --Image:UserEmilyDiehlStar.gif Emily Diehl (talk) 18:13, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, Emily. It seems to be ok now. --Pling! \ Brains12 \ Talk 19:26, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

User talk:Gaile Gray/Guild Wars 2 suggestions

Anyone else getting an internal server error when trying to access this page? --Image:User Wandering Traveler Oie User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 19:34, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

no poke | talk 19:36, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
....odd. probably on my end then. apologies. --Image:User Wandering Traveler Oie User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 19:36, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Page is at 359kb, so that may be the reason for your error.--Fighterdoken 19:37, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
I do. I'm using IE7. -- Inspired to ____ 19:39, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
mwahaha, go get firefox. - Y0_ich_halt Have a look at my page 19:47, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
No problem with IE7 on my end on that page. 68.151.27.108 19:51, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Will probably replicate as it moves through cache - last try was a server side error: "Microsoft-IIS 5 Server at wiki.guildwars.com Port 80". -- Inspired to ____ 19:54, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
I haven't gotten any errors, but I have been experiencing huge lag here. Other sites are fine. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 21:36, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
No errors but it is pretty darn slow, hopefully the IT guys aren't in wack-a-mole stage...Dominator Matrix 21:56, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
I'm fine on speed over here, but I"m still getting that bloody internal server error. its just on that page though, so I'll leave it alone for a bit and see what happens. --Image:User Wandering Traveler Oie User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 22:06, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
I really do think that it's likely due to the insane page size. Can we archive the ideas so the page stays smaller? --Image:UserEmilyDiehlStar.gif Emily Diehl (talk) 22:08, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
It happened again BUT! as soon as I refeshed the page it fixed its self, so I think its the server just taking a while to create the cache. So its no problem at all...really. Dominator Matrix 02:14, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

image preview problems.

Having a weird issue with an image, uploaded new helmet pictures for Gallery_of_male_warrior_Elite_Luxon_armor about 8 days ago. Three of them updated fine, but the image of the front of the helmet i had to change to 149px just to get it to display right. However i've tried reverting the image since then to 150px to conform to the same size as the others and everytime i do it reverts the preview back to the previous orangey picture. I asked Brains to check if it did it on his computer too and it does. Don't know whats causing it. also on topof that recently i keep getting grey error boxes which say something like this: "Error creating thumbnail: /home/httpd/gwwiki/home/gwwiki/en/bin/ulimit4.sh: line 4: /usr/bin/convert: No such file or directory", this has never happened to me before on this computer but it seems to be happing all the time now. -- Salome 23:43, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

I have the same problems with the latter; it used to happen rarely, however it's been happening more often recently. It fixes itself after a while, but it's still annoying. --Pling! \ Brains12 \ Talk 23:45, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Their is also something weird happening with this page: Gallery_of_female_elementalist_Ancient_armor. If you click on the front and back pictures it sill shows you a VERY old version of the image instead of an enlarged version of the actual image. -- Salome 23:50, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
I think its the server being to busy or confused on what to update...Dominator Matrix 23:51, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Heya guys....this was an ImageMagick problem, and it should now be resolved. Let me know if you notice any other issues. --Image:UserEmilyDiehlStar.gif Emily Diehl (talk) 18:09, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

The Skill list page won't load

I cant access /List_of_Necromancer_skills and /List_of_monk_skills since 10 am. It just give me a blank page with both Firefox and IE.Is there anyone working on that section or something ? LONGA 08:45, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

It seems to affect most pages which use large list generated by Template:Skill table. It's probably a DPL problem. -- Gordon Ecker 09:16, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi guys! I just got word that this issue has been resolved. We had to do some emergency maintenance which impacted both this site and the GW2W. I'll work to get advanced warnings about this kind of maintenance in the future. I really apologize for the up and downs over the past few days. --Image:UserEmilyDiehlStar.gif Emily Diehl (talk) 18:00, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Thankyou for the fixes LONGA 18:27, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Guild Wars 2 Wiki

Doesn't load. I think it's been like that for a few hours now. --Pling! \ Brains12 \ Talk 17:13, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Yeah same here, it has a blank screen but says done on the status bar. --Kakarot Talk 17:16, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Seems to be fixed now.. it's loading fine. What was that about? --Pling! \ Brains12 \ Talk 17:42, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
I was told that this stemmed from the emergency maintenance the team had to perform early this morning. Sorry for the inconvenience, guys! --Image:UserEmilyDiehlStar.gif Emily Diehl (talk) 18:10, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
No problem, and thanks. --Pling! \ Brains12 \ Talk 18:37, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
