Brains12[edit]

This request is for the sysophood of User:Brains12 (talkcontribs).
Created by Brains12Talk 19:03, 1 January 2008 (UTC).

Candidate statement[edit]

Howdy. I think I've proven myself trustworthy enough to be allowed the tools of a Sysop, and that I would use those tools accordingly to help maintain the Guild Wars Wiki. I have a good knowledge of our policies (both spirit and literal...) and guidelines, so any decision I would make as a Sysop will be well informed and justified. -- Brains12Talk 19:03, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

  2. He knows his way around the wiki, and is a good people person. Eloc, three months is long enough to prove he does things correct. And you did have an RfA. Calor (t) 21:20, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

  7. Very active, shown intelligence, giving brains sysop tools can only benefit the wiki from my viewpoint. Lord of all tyria 22:25, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
  8. His contributions here and on GWiki are well worth sysophood, showing that he'd be of use in the position. And I totally disagree with Eloc. -- Gem (gem / talk) 00:16, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
  9. Insert three nonsensical and self-contradictory points here. Hey, it worked for an opposing vote, didn't it? (And no, this is not a "balance" vote.) Numbers mean nothing when it comes to humans, people, and I hope someone realizes it. Armond 01:39, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
  10. Support Has shown that he is level-headed when dealing with vandals, new users, and touchy situations with other users. Knows his way around the wiki and is active enough. I believe that he will put sysop tools to good use. -- ab.er.rant sig 02:29, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Oppose[edit]

  1. Ok, let me make this clear first of all — I am extremely picky of Sysops. Simple as that. To start off, you don't even have 3,000 contributions, in which contributions pretty much show everything of a person here on Guild Wars Wiki. Also, you said "I think I've proven myself trustworthy enough to be allowed the tools of a Sysop" which makes it sound like you were planning from day one to become a Sysop and to just gain enough trust to kill us all, lol. Anyways, finally, you've only been here for 3 months! Give it some time man. I've been here for nearly a year and haven't put myself up for RFA yet. — Eloc 20:03, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Neutral[edit]

  1. From the posts that I have seen and the talk pages it looks like you are doing a good job of contributing to the wiki community. Like Eloc stated above you have only been here for 3 months, which doesn't really merit an oppose from me. I am going on Neutral because I have only just started seeing your posts. --Sktbrd341 20:51, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
  2. really, for what i've seen u've always been friendly and u've helped alot here on things i haven't bothered with, like doing useful things. I've been here for a bit more than 2 months and and think that both u and eloc would deserve it, but at the same time u're both helping alot as it is now, im sorry but i go neutral on this one. --Cursed Angel talk 21:04, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
  3. I would absolutely vote for you in a few more months. -elviondale (tahlk) 22:12, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
  4. Disagree entirely with the not enough contributions thing that Eloc suggested. However I haven't had enough dealings/conversations with Brains to make a proper decision. --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 22:37, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
  5. Agree with Lem as well as Ab.er.rant. Brains is a good user who makes positive contributions to the wiki and has shown that he knows his way around the wiki. Although I'm not completely sure whether he would or would not make a good sysop since I haven't seen him deal with some of the more problematic situations that sysops have to deal with, if the community decides that he is made sysop I have no problem with that either. --Kakarot Talk 04:45, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
  6. Neutral. as Lemming64. Coran Ironclaw 07:10, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Request for Reconfirmation[edit]

  1. Brains banned me without a reason. Limu Tolkki (Limu Tolkki - talk) 09:00, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
  2. His recent block of User:Wynthyst is a blatant misuse of the sysop tools. I now find myself questioning his reasoning. There is clearly no justifyable reason for this block. User DrogoBoffin sig icon.png Drogo Boffin 17:48, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
  3. Agreed with Drogo -- Salome User salome sig2.png 18:14, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
  4. His recent misjudgement of other sysops and users as well as his mistreatment of Wyn that was unjustifyable as Drogo says. -- User Ariyen sig icon.gifriyen 20:20, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
  5. Though i'm not picking a side here (Wyn having her own problems as well), block was unjustified as said before. - J.P.User J.P. Christmas sig.pngTalk 21:47, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
