Quest list[edit]

So I finally got around to making List of festival quests. If a quest isn't showing up, it's likely because it's not categorized. Some of the events I never took part of and others I don't remember so I'm not sure how accurate the list is right now. Hopefully, this can be of some use for this project. Categorisation[edit]

Would it be wise to merge categories for a majority of events, eg canthan new year 2007 and 2008 npcs. Where they are the same they should go in a parent joint category, where they are unique (if any) they could have separate categories. --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 16:21, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Well I implemented the new categorisation on Category:Canthan New Year, let me know what you think. --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 15:26, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Terrorweb Dryders[edit]

It seems that they were absert from the 2007 and 2008 Dragon Festival missions. -- Gordon Ecker 00:54, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

International Talk Like a Pirate Day models[edit]

I'm putting them up here for now. -- Gordon Ecker 07:20, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

I also noticed that all the NPCs whose models were changed have also had their levels altered to 15. -- Gordon Ecker 08:34, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
They've been moved to the event page. -- Gordon Ecker 08:49, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

NPC pirate quotes[edit]

Did anyone get the quotes from the Lionguards or Istani Commoners during Talk Like a Pirate Day? -- Gordon Ecker 09:09, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

    • Samuka - level 15 Restless Corpse

I'm putting them here for now. -- Gordon Ecker 06:35, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

So where should we cover the altered models and levels? IMO we should put the information in the main Halloween article and mention it in the trivia sections of the individual NPC articles. -- Gordon Ecker 07:46, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
The altered NPCs recently got reverted, I'm guessing it happened at the start of November 2nd (PDT). -- Gordon Ecker 08:48, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
This weekend, the female Lionguards were gone. -- Gordon Ecker 09:07, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

Halloween NPC idle quotes[edit]

  • Bruce the Herald:
    • "The Mad King is coming! The Mad King is coming!"
    • "The Mad King returns! On the Hallowed Eve he will appear!"
    • "Prepare for the coming of the Mad King! He will rock your very world!"
    • "The Mad King will come to <Kamadan or Lion's Arch> on the Hallowed Eve! Mark me well: when the Mad King returns, you are all doomed.!"
  • Captured Chosen form NPCs:
  • Executioner form NPCs:
    • "Don't stand too close...my breath is truly foul." (confirmed for Merkin)
    • "I hope my mother doesn't see me like this..." (confirmed for Merkin)
    • "Is it cold out here, or is it just me?" (confirmed for Firstwatch Sergio)
    • "My wife nearly left me this morning when she saw me like this. Of course, she looked like an ettin, so she didn't have much room to talk...." (confirmed for Firstwatch Sergio)
  • Hellhound form NPCs (in cycle order):
  • Restless Dead form NPCs:
    • "Do I have anything in my teeth?" (confirmed for Bodrus the Outfitter)
    • "How strange! I can feel the wind rattling my bones...." (confirmed for Bodrus the Outfitter and Samuka)
    • "I feel so naked! Does anyone have a blanket, or something?" (confirmed for Grahame and Samuka)
    • "Keep that hellhound away from me. He's been sniffing my femur all day." (confirmed for Grahame)
  • Unique model NPCs:
    • Armen the Guide: "I've been craving brains all day! Mmm...brains..."
    • Canthan Ferry Captain: "I have killed more mergoyles than I can number, and today I wake as one of them! How have I angered the gods?"
    • Liran: "I am so hungry I could eat...brains!"
    • Lionguard (male, ghost)
      • "Boo! Am I scary? I feel scary...."
      • "Look, I'm floating!"

I'm putting them here for now. I think I've gotten most of them. -- Gordon Ecker 06:48, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

I think that's everything. All the corpse dialogue has been in the buried corpse article since last year. -- Gordon Ecker 07:25, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
IMO we should incorporate this information into the NPC articles. -- Gordon Ecker 07:46, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Wintersday 2008[edit]

Ill try and help you with the events details as much as i can Gordon. Frozenwind 02:52, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

Is it worth recording what the hero/npc dialouge is if you take them with you during the quest Snowball Dominance? -edit- Its done. Frozenwind 15:15, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Formatting guideline for Major event pages[edit]

I'm not sure this is the place for this, but I thought it would be a good place to start. Every major event, there is always a problem with the finale event schedule and how it's presented. Would it be feasible to create a formatting guideline, specific to major event pages that specifies the time format for finale schedules (or other event related schedules as necessary). If it were spelled out as part of a guideline I think it would end a lot of the hassle related to individuals deciding they want it one way or the other, which always results in the schedule being changed multiple times during the course of the event (especially long events like Wintersday and Halloween). I believe the current standard is 12 hr format listed in Pacific and UTC time. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn/talk 22:10, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

Page update[edit]

The page hadnt been updated from Canthan New Year, so i pain-stakingly checked all the CNY 2009 pages and checked for missing parts. I cam up with a list of a few. Please help-if you know something, add it! --Burning Freebies 14:00, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

NPC arrival time[edit]

Should we add notes on festival NPC pages about arrival time? Like colelctors or grenchies in LA and Kamadan or kimberly or Rift warden? I dont thing the pattern changed after years. They ussually arrive in the same order every year.--SharkinuUser Sharkinu sig.png 16:05, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Don't really know why it hasn't been done already, as it seems to be a valid bit of info for any such NPC.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 17:37, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
Sure, don't see why not. Seems like valid info. Backsword 06:58, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
User:Sharkinu/Sandbox/NPC arrival time <-- this list is accurate so far (except the Wintersday Crier in Dwayns Vs Grenth, but I think she arrived in the first day like all other criers) --SharkinuUser Sharkinu sig.png 09:12, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

The new event outpost pages[edit]

Mainly speaking those like Lion's Arch (Halloween). Though I don't see much need for them, may I suggest that, rather than using the typical navbars of the region (Kryta for LA, Far Shiverpeaks for EotN, etc.), we make a new one? I would make one now, but idk what all festival outposts there's intentions to make and how - specifically for CNY and DF, as most of the towns decorated use the same decorations and few, if any, NPC difference. -- Konig/talk 21:04, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
