The Hammer of Kathandrax, also called Kathandrax's Crusher, is the required quest item for completing Kathandrax's Crusher. It drops from the Chest of Kathandrax, the dungeon reward chest at the end of the Catacombs of Kathandrax.

Notes

• Despite its name and look, this is not a weapon.
• If you have this quest item, you do not need to enter the catacombs to gain credit for completing Kathandrax's Crusher. This has created a demand from Survivor candidates interested in risk-free experience points.
  • You would need 179 hammers to earn the 1,337,500 XP required to maximize a character's rank in the Survivor title track.
• You still need to complete the dungeon to get credit for the Ilsundur, Lord of Fire (Zaishen quest) and the Master Dungeon Guide.

Bug.A stack of two or more Hammers of Kathandrax appears singular in its description, e.g. "2 Hammer of Kathandrax".
