Imperial Commendations are offered as rewards for doing many quests in Kaineng City. There are three Imperial Quartermasters located in Kaineng Center who will offer various rewards in exchange for them.
The following quests reward Imperial Commendations:

- Like most reward tokens, Imperial Commendations can neither be sold to merchants nor salvaged, but they can be traded.
- Each character can be rewarded up to 34 Commendations by completing all the quests.
- The faster rate for converting these directly to gold is purchasing and selling superior salvage kit cost 2
s, which will pay out 200
per commendation (1 per kit, 1 kit per 5 commendations). Keeping and using the kits may be even more profitable, since each one saves you 4 expert salvage kits, at a cost of 1.6 total, increasing the potential value of 5 commendations to 1.6; that is, 320 each. In any case, do not sell them to other players for less than 200 each.
