Invite

While in a town or outpost, players can invite other players and henchmen to join their party, or they can make requests to join an existing party, so that when they enter an instance (explorable area, mission, etc.), they will share the instance and so can cooperate with each other in that location.

For information of how to invite people to your guild, see guild.

How to send invites[edit]

There are several ways of sending invites to a given player:

  1. Hold down the Ctrl key. This will display all the players on your radar. When you see the name of the player who wants to join you, click on their name. Their name will now appear under your name in the Party Window box. Click the plus sign to the left of their name to send an invite/join request. The bar behind their name will turn red if and when they accept your invitation.
  2. When a player responds to your request in the chat window, click on their name and the chat window will switch the Whisper tab, with their name filled in in the box on the left. Click on the right-hand side within the box. This will select text within the box. Press Ctrl+C to copy the text to the clipboard. Now, click on the input box in the Party Formation box and press Ctrl+V to the paste the contents of the clipboard. The plus to the left can now be clicked to send an invite/join request. The bar behind their name will turn red if and when they accept your invitation.
  3. Type the name of the player you would like to invite in the input box of the Party Window (to the right of the plus sign). Then press the plus sign.
  4. In the Chat Window, use the command /invite <player's name>. Where <player's name> is replaced by the name of the player you are inviting.

How to send requests to join a party[edit]
