- She is one of two bosses in the Crystal Desert with an elite skill outside of missions (the other is Yxthoshth from the secondary profession changing quest, The Ranger's Path, available after ascension).
- Kepkhet is one of the few Prophecies bosses with a fixed position.
- Kepkhet is initially hidden, she will not appear until a party member approaches her.
- Kepkhet is surrounded by several Scarab Nest Builders. Melee characters especially should be careful of the large number of traps that will be present.
- An easy strategy to taking out this boss is to bring a Ranger with a Flatbow or Longbow. Have the Ranger take out all the Scarab Nest Builders surrounding Kepkhet and then take her out. The nest builders will not move.
- Kepkhet can be pulled and will not attempt to return to the nest if at least one of the stationary Nest Builders surrounding her has been killed.
- If Mark of Protection is successfully cast, applying a condition will cause Kepkhet to use Contemplation of Purity, which will strip Mark of Protection.
- Unlike many scarab casters, Kepkhet is a ranged attacker.
