- The dialogue about "shooting my eye out" is a reference to the film A Christmas Story: the main character's mother refuses to buy him a Red Ryder BB Gun, continually reminding him "you'll shoot your eye out". This NPC is named after Isaiah Cartwright, who also was shot in the eye with an arrow when he was a child. (Source)
