[edit] Notes
- Murakai does not regenerate. However, she can heal herself with Murakai's Consumption.
- Murakai's Storm of Souls can wipe an entire party in one hit. Its best to stay spread out and keep distance so her Power Gauge will charge slowly. If you are with henchmen, it's best just to solo her, trying, if possible, to interrupt her skills, and only running back to your team for help with the minions she spawns.
- Tips:
- It is best to head counter-clockwise to reach her, as the group on that route will aggro if you attack from the other route.
- Body blocking her extra spawns can be effective, because they are created right on top of her. This way you can rely on AoE damage to finish them off, whilst still hurting the boss the whole time.
- Interrupting her Murakai's Consumption is not too difficult (a 1 second cast time, half of the stated 2, as she is a boss-like foe), but bringing Meteor Showers and the Interrupt Henchman can make the task much easier.
- If she manages to near fill her rage bar, signal all your Henchmen and/ or Heroes away, and attack her by yourself (keep the healers/ protectors in your cast range, you'll need them ready). This way she will unleash her Murakai's Storm of Souls on you alone, and will waste it on you, rather than causing a near party wipe. You may die, but it is unlikely if you bring healing/ protection spells, or if you have some already on you.
- It may be possible, albeit with some difficulty, to body block Murakai over one of the flame traps on the left or right side of the room.
- Dazed makes the fight much easier.
- If all your party members have a ranged build, you should bring an animal companion. She will likely target it, since it will keep attacking her in close range. That way her rage bar loads slower. Do not forget a pet resurrection skill.
- Murakai can be efficiently defeated with a combination of knockdowns and/or daze. Ignore any minions summoned by Murakai, unless they become overwhelming (AoE spells should be able to take care of them). Several physical damage dealers with either a BHA ranger (like Zho) or combination of a hammer warrior (like Devona) with a paragon using Awe can effectively shutdown Murakai. A paragon can also use a combination of Awe with any of the PvE-only knockdown skills, such as "You Move Like a Dwarf!" or Brawling Headbutt if the paragon is short on energy, with a spear that lengthens Daze to keep Murakai permanently dazed.
- A Paragon with Cautery Signet can easily remedy the conditions inflicted by Murakai's Calamity and Murakai's Storm of Souls. Combine with Plague Sending or Plague Touch to inflict burning for up to 40 or 80 seconds, respectively (5, 10 conditions removed from 8 party members).
- She is not considered undead.
- She wields a Ghostly Staff.
Despite her lore and skills - which heavily imply her profession to be a Necromancer - she drops Warrior skill tomes.
[edit] Trivia
- Lady of the Night also meant prostitute during the Renaissance era.
- Before the October 7th, 2009 Update, it was possible to get Murakai to spawn infinite enemies with Murakai's Call.
