- The Soul Calibur series has a weapon named the Soul Edge. It has a fleshy appearance and a large eye, similar to this scythe, and it is wielded by an evil knight named Nightmare. In the games, Soul Edge frequently offers life stealing in exchange for health degeneration, much like Nightmare Scythe's unique versions.
