Onyx Gemstones are one of the rewards for defeating a dungeon in GW:EN, and can be sold and bought at a rare material trader when they are in stock. They are one of the required materials needed to craft Destroyer Weapons, which are crafted by Balthor Coalforge in the Slavers' Exile dungeon.

• The art for Onyx Gemstones was previously used as the icon for the Obsidian Shard prior to the update on the 29th of June, 2005.
• Onyx Gemstones were added in the update on the 23rd of August, 2007. A slot was added to the materials storage tab to accommodate this addition.
