The Petrified Arena is of one the maps in rotation in Random Arena battles.

[edit] Description

The arena is divided into an upper area with a narrow way connecting both teams starting points, and a lower area accessible through stairs on each side with a small pond of Blessed Water on its north-eastern end. Throughout the map are large mushrooms causing Stone Spores periodically to players standing close to them.

[edit] Objective

Annihilation: To be victorious, at least one player on your team has to be alive after he has killed the last opponent.

[edit] Common Tactics/Tips

  • Battles are usually fought out on the upper area, sometimes right in the middle of the narrow chokepoint connecting both plateaus.
  • Confrontations directly on the lower level are rare, as a team still on the upper level has a terrain advantage if the enemy team approaches from below.
  • Stone Spores can severely impact a players ability to use his skills. The clouds of spores appearing close to the large mushrooms are relatively hard to spot and usually forgotten in the heat of battle. Try to lure enemies into them if you have the chance.
  • The pond of Blessed Water on the lower level is rarely being used as confrontation next to it is rare. If you use enchantments and happen to fight close to it, take advantage of it but don't let it be your primary concern; The advantage gained by Blessed Water is not big enough to sacrifice mobility.
