The Rabid Bear is your opponent for Bear Club for Men and its sister quest Bear Club for Women. The bear has permanent health regeneration and half skill activation/recharge time, and can be quite difficult to kill.
Note that you only need to have the Club of a Thousand Bears (weapon) equipped when the bear dies in order for the quest to be complete. You are free to use another weapon to whittle its health down first, or use other skills.

- High, consistent damage and/or heavy degeneration are effective ways of overcoming the bear's self-healing, as is interruption/disabling of Troll Unguent.
- General anti-melee counters work well, as do reactionary damage hexes such as Spoil Victor and Pain Inverter.
