Renewal effect

A Renewal effect is a game mechanic that resets the duration of relevant effects under certain conditions. Some skill descriptions use the terms reapply or refresh.

- A self-renewing skill becomes the newest effect in the effects monitor when its renewal effect triggers, which makes them difficult to cover (with the exception of Storm's Embrace).
- Refrains always renew whenever a chant or shout ends on the affected target
- The term renew is also associated with energy gain, instant recharge, and/or an end effect.
