Scorched Lodestones are rocky trophy drops left by stony Elemental creatures in the arid northern regions of Post-Searing Ascalon. There are several varieties of Lodestones which may be found, and their discovery is not limited to Tyria.

Elementalists use Scorched Lodestones to complete the quest The Geomancer's Test, which is obtained from Kendrick Redstaff in Serenity Temple. This quest is not available to characters who are not elementalists.
