Snow Wurms are stationary creatures that pop out of the ground randomly. They are quite harmless.

Bug.When killed under the surface (via spirits, degeneration or a projectile (spell) that was shot while the wurm was on the surface), its death will not count towards the Hard Mode kill count. In this case, the drop appears on the surface where you were fighting it.
