[edit] Notes
- More effective in hard mode, where foes have higher health and attack rate and will thus trigger it more often.
- This skill is highly potent against end-game bosses who have many times the health of a player character, assuming the boss attacks or casts targeted spells.
- It is also a good alternative for solo farmers who don't have Prophecies and can't obtain Spiteful Spirit. For boss farming, Spoil Victor is often preferred over Spiteful Spirit.
- This skill will trigger when a healer casts a healing spell on an ally with less health; however, self-targeting a healing spell will not cause health loss. Resurrecting an ally with a spell will also trigger Spoil Victor.
[edit] Trivia
- This skill's name seems to be a pun on the saying "to the victor go the spoils", which is derived from the "to the victor belong the spoils", a quote from 19th century US Senator William L. Marcy.
- This skill has changed since its introduction; see its PvE and PvP skill histories for details.
