for the part here ----(The following three paragraphs depends on the Protector titles acquired)

is not true ,it not for the protector titles but for completed a campaign ,i have not earn the title of Protector of elona but have this text :

"Hail to the hero who freed Kourna, rescued Vabbi, defended Istan, and vanquished the dark god Abaddon in the Domain of Anguish! Hail, Kormir, Goddess of Truth, and her greatest champion, <character name>! All Elona sings in praise!"

Kind of a Big Deal[edit]

So, now PvP titles and Kind of a Big Deal are the only ones counting? All the money I spent on my skill hunter titles then? - talk helena 19:34, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Gives you 4 steps on KoaBD.Backsword 19:42, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
First time I've seen shots of the monument to KoaBD...pretty cool but honestly...I'd rather have monuments to any of the titles I choose to display...I'd like to see Legendary Survivor...I'd like to see protector of all the continents...I'd like to see Vanquisher, Cartographer, Guardian...etc. A single monument to the number of titles I have will not look so impressive when no monuments are underneath it because I DO NOT PVP. Give us the option to display more than just KoaBD...I don't care if the monuments carry anything over...leave that as is...I just want to be able to SEE my accomplishments. That is what is most important to me with the HoM. That is also why I'd rather see the actual armors I have acquired for my ranger instead of elementalist and mesmer armors from the same outpost.--Thor79User-thor79.pngTalk 05:32, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
Well, I don't wanna show my Kind of a Big Deal, I wanna show my Legendary Skill Hunter! Kind of a Big Deal is so... common. By the hard titles to get, that is. - talk helena 15:31, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
I agree to it being common and lacking the prestige the more difficult titles have when acquired. While some (or many, depending on opinion) PvE titles are relatively easy to get, a lot are quite difficult in my opinion. --[ ALTIMIT | TALK ] 00:57, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

The other PvE content you get is for completing campaigns; so you'd have 4 PvE monuments, and 4 PvP. Doubt there is space for much more. Backsword 16:08, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

The problem with KoaBD is it can be earned in many different ways. And if someone has got some of the more rarer titles toward there KoaBD title track such as max Wisdom or max Drunkard. They are not going to be recognized for that extra hard work if they are just going to be displaying the same title as many other players who got the easier titles such as Protector. --Alien User Alien Sig.png 16:28, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
Completely agree. I'm very proud of the fact I have finally reached I'm Very Important (though now I have to get a load more) however I'm very proud of all the titles I have maxed to get there. I'm not fussed about massive monuments, just maybe a little plinth for each title track? (Maybe make them more elaborate as you progress along the title track?). Heck, even just an option to list all your titles would be better than what PvE players currently have – nothing. Dorsk 07:55, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Umm, I'm kinda new, and I don't know if there are going to be pictures for each title's statue here, but I have a picture of my Legendary Defender of Ascalon statue from my Hall to contribute to the page :) - Captain Doughnut

Sure upload it! :) That's no a bad idea actually maby we should put pictures of all the titles statues on there individual pages? --Alien User Alien Sig.png 12:33, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Research[edit]

  • Well its fairly obvious now that the account based titles all have minimum requirements for the statues (after a lil' research). This is all the information I have gathered about the "account titles-pedestals." Feel free to add additional information as long as it's accurate.

You say that Hero activates somewhere above rank 7. Does that mean it does not active at rank 7? I am rank 8 hero and I can activate the eternal hero thing on the shrine. --Jurrit 06:38, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Eternal Hero[edit]

The hero's ascent monument is a complete fail... where is the Tiger emote? where is the Phoenix Emote or Deer / Wolf ? Why does a map has anything to do with HA title? Even putting a statue of the ghostly hero would be awesome...  :( --Specter

Also, why rank 8? Isn't it a bit too high? It kind of bothers me to have lost several hours to get to rank 5 (no gimmick builds, mostly) and get no reward in the Hall. KazDoran 12:58, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Sorrow's Furnace, the Deep and etc[edit]

My character has done the above and yet I get no statue, and no text reference about them. This article states "The following paragraph denotes the Elite Missions completed since Eye of the North's release" - specifically saying that we need to do the "elite" missions after the release of GW:EN in order for them to appear at the Hall of Monuments. Could someone confirm this? If that's true, I think it would be worth mentioning it at the Requirements section as well. Erasculio 02:45, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

I can confirm that you have to do the quests/missions after the release. I have completed Urgoz and Deep before GW:EN and they are not available on those characters. I accepted final assault recently, and the SF one appeared. Archangel Avoca 15:39, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Thank you : ) I have added a note to the respective displays. Does anyone else feel like there is one more display for Urgoz's Warren, and another for DoA? Erasculio 17:14, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Maybe there is which would be good for this. --Hellbringer 20:16, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Does anyone know if completing the elite areas in Hard Mode gives you special statues? --Zaxares 01:48, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
I'm curious if completing all the quests in The Fissure of Woe or The Underworld (after GW:EN's release of course) will get you a mention. Or the area formerly known as the Tomb of the Primeval Kings. --Rainith 02:19, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
The Fissure of Woe does - there are screenshots showing that monument (looks like the statue of Balthazar) on some fanforums. The statue has been earned on Normal Mode. It has been said that the UW also gives a statue, which makes sense, but I haven't seen that screenshot myself. Nothing mentioned about the former Tombs, though. Erasculio 02:26, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Well here is a big surprise, it's bugged! Our group completed FoW tonight and received no such monument. There are also several posts on other fansites indicating that they too completed the Fissure of Woe and were not rewarded with a monument. Was there a problem with our group, problems with these other groups? How about we get some official notes about this before others receive similar frustration and disappointment. Because apparently, at least for our group, it could've been that one of our teammates disconnected, or there was a new build that we updated to before checking the monument, we resigned after completing all of the quests, or that we lost favor after entering. Quite frankly I don't feel motivated to try for the others if they might just bug too or we didn't fit a certain criteria. --Racthoh 05:03, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
I did the Deep HM during the preview event (ridiculously easy with GWEN PvE skills). It gives you a statue of Kanaxai which, I presume, is just like any Kanaxai statue you'd get from regular mode. Nothing in the label or description indicate that it was actually HM. — 130.58 (talk) 05:09, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
I hope they'll also add a statue reward for completing the ToPK. It's kinda like all other elite missions (true, it's shorter and probably easier as the rest, but hey, why not?). The reward statue could look like one of those stained-glass golden angels in the courtyard. Sjeng 14:53, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Number of titles shown[edit]

I've heard rumors about only being able to show off five titles. I displayed my Tyrian Elite Skill Hunter, but I wanna make sure my Legendary Skill Hunter fits when I reach it. Does anyone know if you are able to take away titles again after putting them there, or are they there forever if you made a mistake? - talk helena 05:43, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

5 is the max, so when you try to put up a 6th, the first one you put up is taken off. --- Warrior Raptors
What happened to me last time with this monument (and in others such as the one for Heroes) is that the very last thing I have placed is the one getting replaced, with all the other four staying intact and in the same spot. --[ ALTIMIT | TALK ] 01:13, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
That sucks. I'm not sure I wanna display Tyrian Elite Skill Hunter... Raptors' version sounds better, cause then you can just keep on going round until you removed the one you don't want. You can always put up the ones you want again. By the way, how does it work, is it 5 statues or 5 titles? Is there room for the three campaign statues, The Deep statues etc. PLUS five titles? And how many of those first ones can you display? - talk helena 06:04, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Five for everything, as far as I know. Discounting the big floating thingy that represents your progress in Kind of a Big Deal. Oh, also, I'm not sure but I don't think you can "[...] you can just keep on going round until you removed the one you don't want. You can always put up the ones you want again," because once you already added something, it stays there and cannot be removed. After you have added five and you have more, you can add them and hope that what you don't like is the one that gets replaced. However, once you have added everything you have, your only option left is to "Reorder" the contents which shuffles everything not even randomly. --[ ALTIMIT | TALK ] 13:53, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
That sucks. - talk helena 14:25, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Thats not true Altimit, when I first got there I put up all of my titles to see what they would all look like. I first put up the three "finished the campaign" statues, then my Protector Of Tyria, then my 100% GMC for Tyria, which makes 5. I then put up my Tyrian Elite Skill Hunter, which took of the "finished the campaign" statue for Tyria, which I added first. I could cycle through them all like that. --- Warrior Raptors
Wow, that's nice! How did you do it? Were you able to select what you wanted to remove? I currently have everything placed right now and can't remove anything, the sole option left is to "Reorder". It would be great if you found a way to remove. How? --[ ALTIMIT | TALK ] 07:03, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
My question is: does the max number of statues mean that when I add, say, a sixth to "Honor" and one is removed automatically, do all six still count towards points in GW2?--Jmpdmnky 20:20, 9 May 2012 (UTC)

Kurzick/Luxon rank 3 or 4?[edit]

Sorrow's Furnace requires more than just Final Assault[edit]

The article says the requirement for Sorrow's Furnace is "complete The Final Assault after the release of GW:EN". I've never completed any of the SF quests -- no subquest of "To Sorrow's Furnace" -- nothing. I did a run through Final Assault to get a black moa chick. I was able to take the quest once inside SF and accept the reward. However, I have no note in my HoM about Sorrow's Furnace and can't add a statue. Completing FA since the release of GW:EN is clearly a requirement, but there's another requirement as well. If I complete "To Sorrow's Furnace" and it unlocks the statue, I'll update here and change the page accordingly. Bcstingg 17:43, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

The quest you took was not The Final Assault, but the sub-quest The Forge Heart. True, The Forge Heart is the bulk of FA, but it doesn't seem to count as completion. Nor will you be able to get FA before completing To Sorrow's Furnace. --Valshia 08:48, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, that clarifies it. Should I delete this section since the title is not accurate? Bcstingg 15:05, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
Nah, I think we might keep it here. I would have done the same mistake you did (I also thought doing the sub-quest was enough, didn't realize it's not really The Final Assault), so this being here would serve as a warning to other players who might think the same thing. Erasculio 15:28, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Fissure Monument Bugged[edit]

I believe this has been brought up on GWO and GWG - but some of us have not received the monument after completion of all the quests in the same sitting in FoW - We are 100% positive we did all the quests, on normal mode which is apparently enough - So just making sure you are aware of this issue. Yesitsrob 14:27, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Probably because everyone knows you should be doing it on hm rob :P -Auron 23:32, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Actually Hard Mode is not required! We confirmed this over the weekend. However, we did complete all quests and kill all monsters. baggy 17:27, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Description needs to be changed to quests and monsters. Just did UW and wiki says "quests" and it is not appearing. 12.205.111.108 04:51, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
I just completed UW again, vanquished all foes in Normal, did not get the monument. I hear you don't have to do it in HM, does anyone have more information on this? 12.205.111.108 04:45, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, I do appreciate help, but I'm also not a complete moron and being stupid isn't why I haven't gotten the monument ^^. Yesitsrob 02:50, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
Well it's not like I'm calling you a moron, just that there are new people out there that maybe haven't understood how it works. I didn't fully understand the first time I saw it... - talk helena 05:54, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

From what I understand, there are still "problems" with the statue. Folks are claiming that you do not have to kill everything in FoW to get the statue. Perhaps it should be removed from the article until we get some kind of confirmation. -Marisa 20:53, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

You do NOT have to kill everything. You do NOT need to do it in hard mode. We left tons of stuff alive. Same with UW. I'm removing that qualification. Nietzsche 21:10, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

So then why upon completion do you not recieve the monument? Archangel Avoca 02:25, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
I think using /resign to leave the area counts as a failure. --Santax (talk · contribs) 21:31, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Pardon my french... but thats made **** all difference so far. We left lots of things alive in FoW. Did it with Heroes. Mapped out, recived the statue. As for UW. We've cleared all quests, resigned, not got the statue. Cleared all the quests and mapped out, still not got the statue. Cleared the all the quests and killed every red dot on the map, mapped out, STILL NO STATUE! Gaile's lack of response on this matter is starting to tick me off tbh. She seemed perfectly willing to repeat the fact she knows very little about GW2 (or at least little she'll let on) and make jokes about Mending the last time she was in Gunnars, but remains silent about bugs regarding FoW/UW conquerer. No matter how many people get these problems with absolutely no logical explanation other than Anet's complete incompetance with implementing a simple 'if x, x, x, x, completed reward with x' sort of trigger. I may know nothing about programming but it would seem tricky to get something like that wrong if your suppose to be a professional. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:88.107.190.153 .
It's quite clear you know nothing about programming. - User HeWhoIsPale sig.PNG HeWhoIsPale 15:28, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Fair enough. What's Anets excuse?
From a programming point of view, if the game is as well designed as it honestly seems to be, checking that every quest has been done in an area on one sitting seems absolutely trivial. Especially considering it doesn't work retroactively too. Yesitsrob 02:50, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
There's more to the design than just setting an array of bits for quests. And if you didn't understand what I just said, you know you're out of your league. However, a bug like this one should be fixed, regardless of complexity, asap. We're only arguing as to how long that might take, and whether there are other higher-priority bugs to fix (like the naked man bug). Alaris 15:12, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
I'd hardly say the naked man bug was top priority. I've never seen it myself... so i can't say too much about it, but i can't see it been remotely explicit. And really the only people to know it are those who look on forums. But the bugs with FoW/UW Conquerer are just wasting peoples time, its very frustrating. I've now been informed by a friend that there guild leader did UW and had to actually complete the Terrorweb Queen quest in the Spawning Pools and he got the statue. Every single time i've ever done that quest its been bugged and given me the reward straight away... and we haven't had the statue. Why exactly is this not on Anets priorities list to get fixed? The bugs with these quests have been here since day 1 afaik, they were always a bit trivial, but i'm pretty sure the more casual players will be a bit ticked off if they spend a couple of hours to get this statue and are rewarded with nothing. As it stands its another nail in the coffin of GW2, if they refuse to fix things now, why should i stick around till GW2 when they'll have 2 games to fix?
Some bugs are easier than others, and possibly handled by different people. For instance the naked man bug seems to of been fixed by removing him and sticking a separate pillar inside the main one. So I'd be surprised if it took more than 5 minutes to fix, plus testing. But this FoW/UW completion bug probably requires a lot of work to find out why its happening. Especially if they can't reliably reproduce it themselves.

(Reset indent) actually you are probably wrong, the naked man bug was probably very high on the priority list, as something like could have their ERSB rating put up or brought into question. --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 11:55, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

There's a difference between what is high priority for you, and what is high priority for a company who wants to stay in business. That being said, I'm sure they have programmers working on this HoM bug. Alaris 15:38, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

I am having the same problems with these statues. As for the UW I have made all quests including vanquishing - got nothing. Pretty much the same was the case with the Deep. Made it in NM and got nothing, made it in HM and got the statue. Very strange!! I think the solution to this riddle is time. As for the Deep, we blazed through HM and were 5 minutes faster than the previous NM run.11.58, 26 September 2007 (CET)

Not a chance. We stormed through NM Underworld completing all quests in 2 hours, did a vanquish/quest version in 2h 15m. A pretty fast run i'm sure you'll agree and we got nothing. How is it going to take lots of time and effort to fix this? As yesitsrob said, this should be completely trivial. Whether the problem is known or not, fixing the quests would be a start to solving it. Look at the Terrorweb Queen quest in the Spawning Pools and the Ice King quest (dunno its real name) in the Icy Wastes. 1 of them is 'completed' the instant you take the quest, don't even have to kill the Dryder, the other is 'completed' after killing the first of three waves of enemies. Now theres a 5 minute job.

In the game update of Friday 27. September they say "Fixed a bug in the Underworld that incorrectly awarded completion for the quest "The Terrorweb Queen" if the player had previously completed the quest "The Demon Assassin." This error prevented players from being awarded the Underworld Hall of Monuments trophy." - anybody can confirm that when doing all Underworld quests now it's 100% absulutely sure that you get the monument afterwards? On the other hand, no word about Fissure of Woe yet :( T.T.H. 10:31, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

I cleared the FoW last night^(quests only, not all the monsters) and we weren't able to do The Hunt since someone activated the quest too early and one shard wolf was killed. Nonetheless, everyone in our party got the statue even if he had not completed the quest. Furthermore we left the FoW by using /resign and still got the statue! It seems to behave very strangly. -- User Nachdenki sig.pngnachdenki [ user | talk | contribs ] 12:59, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Used the same approach as Nachdenki, and got the statue without killing all the mobs but made sure to finish all the quests and using /resign. Some Shard Wolves apparently got killed by other enemies, but it didn't matter for the completion. GL to anyone trying to do the same Arduinna 00:45, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

I wouldn't think titan quest series would give one as its not repeatable, and if it did if you have completed the quest it should already give you the option to display in HoM since you cannot repeat it, I can try to find one of my charatcers that has done it and give it a go though Fall 10:28, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Beacon of Light[edit]

Hey, i just want to ask to someone who has the beacon of light on the helmet of the monument of honor. Can you say me how do we get that ? Another question about that subject... I've seen the picture of the monuments of honor in every step of the KoaBD title, but with photoshop, I can say that the two last pictures are the same... So the monument of honor in step 6 is the same that the rank 5 but with the beacon of light, is that right ? Thank you for your answer, and sorry if i wrote womething bad, i'm french ^^

Whoever posted the Beacon of Light picture; do you think you could respond here as to whether the the light is just the random sliver of light effect or if it comes through the hole in the ceiling of the Hall of Monuments? If so, thanks! Gmr Leon 15:48, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
It comes from the hole you mentioned.

I just reached Leather-Bound Books, yet my "Honor" statue has the beacon of light. Has anyone else seen this happen? --Thervold 16:23, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Nope--mine's missing the light. (Same title)--Ʀєʟʟɑ 17:56, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
It appears if you've got 20 minis, 5 hero statues, 5 elite armors and 11 weapons up it progresses the statue forward one progression. I've got all that on my account and when in account mode it shows that there's the first part of the reveal for everyone, my Dervish (main) is one stage away from the beacon (he's I'm Very Important). Still have to confirm if the same is true for personal mode.
Additional - I just got my last set of Elite Armor for my main who is now I'm Very Important with the other monuments filled (viewable area) and now the Statue appears as if I have "I Have Many Leather-Bound Books" Here's an image of what my Dervish's Personal Mode Hall looks like:

Do you mean that your statue is supposed to be visible, since you have "I'm Very Important", but that when you enter, the statue is hidden as though you had no rank in the KoaBD track? If so, that's normal -- it can take a moment for your "version" of the HoM to load, so for a second it may appear to have no statue, even if it should. However, if your statue never loads, then there's a problem. --Mme. Donelle 19:04, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
I have the same thing as the original poster. We both have the 3rd rank of the title, and I'm assuming the original poster, as I do, has filled their hall of monuments warranting an additional level of the honor monument. Lately it seems as though it doesnt always trigger the extra level, so it doesn't glow as it should.

max number?[edit]

any one know if there is a max number of titles that can be displayed on the dispay table or do the dispay icons just get smaller as you add more ?

You can only display 5 at a time. And the system to choose which you display is a complete pain in the ass if you have a large amount of titles. Tain 13:27, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Ok thanks so if i have 6 max titles for example all of them can be dedicated to the honor monument? but only 5 of the 6 will have the icon shown ?

Yup, exactly. Tain 20:02, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Yeah the system does suck I wanted Fow, UW, Deep, Urgoz, and SF because they all look cool and fuck that took a long time to "Rearrange the display".--Ʀєʟʟɑ 17:57, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
Yeah they should let u choose which statues to display -.- Super Range Ranger Cow 17:59, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Just pre determine which 5 u want to display and only add those. By the time GW2 roles around just add the rest since anet will more than likely change it to choice.--Justice 23:22, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Is the monument considered as full when there are 5 statues? --88.112.91.132 12:14, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Missing Text[edit]

I have all possible text on this monument, and there is no text missing. Anyone knows if these had been fixed in the past? Otherwise, I'm removing the 'bug' note. --Arduinna talk 12:20, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

I can confirm this so unless someone can post evidence to the contrary I'm removing it now
I have missing text, so I guess you can put the bug back up...i can post a screenie if u need (Usaf1a8xx 21:08, 2 November 2011 (UTC))

Displaying Non-Max Titles[edit]

Here's what I'm wondering: Is there any reason for maxing a title that can be displayed at a lower rank, other than to count towards the KoaBD track? If someone achieved "A God Walking Among Mere Mortals", could he then reach only the ranks needed for display in additional titles, and receive the full benefits? As far as I know, the dedicated titles do not change after the player has gained additional ranks, and besides, my non-maxed Kurzick title is already labeled as "eternal savior of the kurzicks".Vidal 09:01, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

It's really guesswork at the moment. The safest route is to assume that if it's displayable, you get something. And if you have extra time after that, maxing some of them might yield better rewards... but who knows? -- Alaris_sig Alaris 13:23, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Beacon of Light at I Have Many Leather Bound Books[edit]

I just completed my HoM, filling the four other monuments to visual capacity and achieved I have Many Leather-Bound Books and my Statue displays the beacon of light in it.

User 000 00 00 00 dervishHoMreference.jpg

~~000.00.00.00~~ 00:45, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Filling each monument like honor, fellowship etc, will cause the beacon to appear, i have seen people achieve this many times on accounts without doing more then 20 titles, if it can be done with less i have no idea. Simzy User Truesimzy mysig.jpg 02:03, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

~~ I kinda dont know why it isnt mentioned in the article yet, but filling the HOM completely equals a higher rank at the koadb title track. so to reach the beacon of light you have to get many lether-bound books and fill all monuments. otherwise you have to get koadb title track rank 5. i think this is confirmed, isnt it?

Eternal Hero of Cantha[edit]

You get this completing Factions in normal mode don't you? I just added it to my HoM and it's "Eternal Protector of Cantha" instead. :S Magic User Magic Icon.jpg Talk 18:29, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

Nvm.. I see what happened. It's hiding my hero display for cantha and the protect is for the title. My bad. :S Magic User Magic Icon.jpg Talk 18:33, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

Question[edit]

So explain this to me. Regarding the statue in the background, does it 'pop-up' to the KoABD title track of the guy that enters the HoM, even if it's set to account mode? Or does it take the number of completed titles per account as a total and uses that? So if i have 9 titles on X, and 1 on Y, does it 'pop-up' more? --Cosmitz 21:01, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

I believe it's on one character and not account wide. ♥ Ariyen ♀ 21:03, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

Casket?[edit]

Okay, now I am really confused on this rumor i heard from my alliance and from a few disscusion comments on wiki. I heard that the big statue for honor is the casket for your hero in gw2... is that true? User:Kew24 1:56, 15 November 2009

Its purely rumor, there is no way of knowing what it's significance is in GW2 untill they announce it which might not be untill near BETA. Simzy User Truesimzy mysig.jpg 02:00, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Non-title statues[edit]

Can someone write a note explaining where these statues come from and why they are awarded? I just don't know what the difference between "Eternal Protector of Cantha" and "Eternal Hero of Cantha".97.122.120.179 04:27, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

In the tables with all the statue art at the bottom part of the page, it is detailed what each statue is awarded for. Eternal hero of X is rewarded for completing the respective final mission. --Lensor (talk) 16:29, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Eternal Conqueror of the Underworld (...and Dhuum)[edit]

Does anyone else think it's INCREDIBLY unfair that those of us that don't have this monument now have to kill Dhuum in addition to all the "normal" UW quests in order to get it? --Combatter 03:27, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Oh wait, unless the monument has disappeared from ppl that had it before Dhuum was added? --Combatter 03:43, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
Slightly unfair. Like it's slightly unfair that I didn't have access to pre-nerf ursan to do DoA (which I have yet to finish by the way), while others did it with pre-nerf ursan. -- Alaris_sig Alaris 16:23, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Maxed titles and statue "bug" in account-wide mode?[edit]

For my main character the statue is in status 4 (15 maxed titles + full HoM), and changing to account-wide it stays the same. On my other characters (without maxed titles) changing to account-wide only show status 1 of the statue (full HoM). The statue status depend on a title, not the number of the maxed titles. I think it should depend on the maxed title number, not on a title progression, then it will be really account-wide as it should be. Gorla 10:18, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

The Honor statue depends on the current character's title. The HoM trophies are account-wide. The Honor statue so far does not have any bearing on GW2, the trophies do. Everything seems as intended. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 10:41, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

important question[edit]

let's say i create a character for the sole reason of getting survivor or legendary defender of ascalon, then put the monument in and then delete the char, will the monument still stay?? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 109.66.16.69 (talk) at 17:09, 23 April 2010 (UTC).

Yes, it will be visible in the account-wide view. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 20:16, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

sorry im new to wiki so ive probably done this wrong, but i had a necro with legendary cartog and deleted after a very silly mistake and it doesnt remain in HoM,the only way im guessing it could is if the character deleted had the name for the account used. Illumine sparkler82.20.244.147 12:24, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Did you display the Legendary Cartographer trophy in the HoM before he got deleted? And did you switch the view to account-wide when you tried to see the trophy again? I know John Hargrove said on his GWW feedback page a while ago that the trophies of deleted characters remain on the account after they've been displayed in the HoM, even if the character is later deleted, same as your armor/weapon/mini statues stay even if you delete those items after displaying them. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 12:40, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

yes i displayed the title in my HoM as well as protector and cartog for each campaign, neither of them are there now, unless its a case of only 1 at a time, so if i had legendary cartog on my necro, once i had it on ele and deleted necro it will only display the elementalists one, as im guessing titles will only affect gw2 once, no matter how many characters achieve it. and in respect to minis i have definately lost them as i had a shiro which is no longer there. Spark-TBa 19:08, 26 June 2010 (UTC)

i have an idea inrespect to this, the name used for the necro was the one my account was set to for tournaments, since the name was saved i created a different character with same name would this have effected the HoM in any way. Spark-TBa 19:10, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
That's a possibility, thought a slim one, because if you re-make a character with the same name and try to equip customized armor from the previous character, the name still matches, but the new one won't be able to wear it. This means that internally characters are not identified by name, but it might still be causing a bug in your case. You still didn't verify that you are for sure viewing the HoM in account view, not in character's personal view (talk to Kimmes the Historian), but I'm assuming you are. I would advise you to contact support on this, and tell them everything you said here, plus the character name involved. This may indeed be a coding oversight in respect to remaking characters with the same name, or even something else we don't know. I'm sure they'll be able to figure it out. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 15:21, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for your advice, i will contact support as you suggested and post any info that they can give in respect to this subject. Spark-TBa 16:26, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

Getting the Ray of Light[edit]

In the page, it says the big statue progresses along the KoaBD title. But that doesn't seem to be true. I got the final appearance of the statue - completely revealed and with the ray of light - without getting GWAMM. How? By filling the HoM. By getting 20 miniatures, 5 heroes, 5 achievements, 5 armors and 11 weapons. The title was not needed at all. It seems that it is like with the Rainbow Phoenix. It is known that you can get the Rainbow Phoenix appear depending on how filled your monuments are, instead getting the title. So, the title is ONE way, not THE way. Complete Eye of the North[edit]

Now that I have finished "A Time for Heroes" and seen the epilogue, I have not achieved a title to display like Eternal Hero of Eye of the North or such?? RedShadowHuntress 12:02, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

The Eye of the North title is called Master of the North. It requires you to have completed all EotN primary quests in normal and hard mode, completed all dungeons in normal and hard more, vanquished all EotN exploreable areas and explored/mapped all the EotN exploreable areas. Have you done all these things yet? Hope this helps.- TheRave talk (talk) 12:27, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

PvP title for statue[edit]

Which PvP title is the easiest to obtain for the Honor statue? Obviously people who haven't done PvP are now going to do so for the new benefits in GW2. I'm just wondering which would take the least amount of time to achieve. I hope it's not Random Arenas because I've been trying to get that one for ages and still am only at 15 points. Haha, Zaishen (5k per point way back when) is lame. Belittles the "PvP" nature of this one. I know plenty of people who would find this easier than Gladiators. I don't really care, I'm just calling them out on it not actually being a "PvP accomplishment". --22:57, 25 April 2012 (UTC)

What counts for the PvP title statue?[edit]

I have tried a long time and looked everywhere now to find some kind of list of what titles count for the 3 points you can achieve for any PvP title statue in HoM. Does Luxon or Kurzick supporting count, for example? - talk helena 21:37, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

No. Anything else that gives balth faction does, though. And zaishen title, for whatever reason. — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 21:46, 2 Nov 2010 (UTC)

The only way to get Zaishen keys (Prior to Zaishen coins) was PVP and PVP practice. The Hall of Monuments and Zaishen statue was in place long before Zaishen coins. That's why it counts as a PVP title. User: Kyubiko 99.246.32.87 19:37, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

The name of that entry in the calculator is misleading. It should be "Battle Isles title", not "PvP title". That is, a title that can only be acquired in the Battle Isles. It doesn't matter if you got the ZKeys with Balthazar from playing PvP, or buying them from others, or from ZCoins, you can only use them in the Isle of the Nameless, which is part of the Battle Isles. In the other hand, Gamer is clearly PvP, and Luxon/Kurzick can be acquired while doing only PvP too, but they can be acquired outside the Battle Isles. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 15:13, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
I think Mith has a good point. I've attempted to rephrase the text to (a) classify as Isles-based titles and (b) make it easy to find for PvE peeps looking to get a PvP title in their HoM.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 17:16, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

Codex and Commander[edit]

When Commander was frozen, ANet said that these two will count as one, as in you only need one of them for the HoM. Now that the Calculator is out, I am wondering if they kept the "promise." I only have Commander, which displays in My Collection list, but Codex still shows up in Unobtained Items list. So my question is this: if you have both, do they count as one or two trophies for the total statue points on the monument? User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 17:31, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

One. — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 17:59, 3 Nov 2010 (UTC)
Ok, that needs to be in the article. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 15:08, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
The com title preventing people from getting cdx HoM pts prevents pvp in codex by removing the HoM incentive. Make Codex pts 1 pt per win, change ranking to reflect the change in pts, and change this clause that commander = codex in HoM. Someone tell me why that clause exists anyways? I'm com rank 4 and would play codex but I have other HoM trophies to get. So I don't codex. Plus the way the pt system is setup you rarely get pts because A) the arena is dead and B) if you beat someone, they change their builds to beat your sealed deck (limited) bar. Goes against what the system was created to eliminate. I would even say awarding points based on wins over a period of time rather than consecutively would increase the popularity of codex arena. (ie points increase for victories the entire time of a codex skill set, or whatever it is called, so losing to a team that changes to beat you has less consequence.) wishful thinking and probably flawed or exploitable but meh. Regardless of the arena's low popularity I would really like to get an HoM trophy that added to HoM point system. I see no reason that the rule is in place as it stands. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.30.8.244 (talk).

Suggestions on classification[edit]

The way they are put it's a bit... confusing... If it was me I'll sort them in a different way:

  • Achievement titles: Those that can't be progressed by making the same thing again and again. You have to go somewhere else and/or do something else do increase them.
    • Protector: Each mission in NM.
    • Guardian: Each mission in HM.
    • Vanquisher: Each explorable in HM.
    • Carthograhper: Uncovering parts of the map until getting 100%.
    • Skill Hunter: Each elite skill.
    • Master of the North: Each mission-quest in NM and HM, dungeon in NM and HM, explorable in HM and map until hiting 1000.
    • And their legendaries.
  • Reputation titles: Titles related to plot and linked to reputation skills.
    • Luxon
    • Kurzcik
    • Susnspear
    • Lightbringer
    • Vanguard
    • Norn
    • Asura
    • Deldrimor
  • Item titles: Titles that are acquired through the use and/or acquisition of items.
    • Drunkard - booze.
    • Sweet Tooth - sweets.
    • Party Animal - festive items.
    • Trasure hunter - keys, Lockpicks & Golden Eggs.
    • Wisdom - identifiable Rares and ID kits.
    • Lucky/Unlucky - Tickets, Lockpicks and 4-leaf clovers.
  • Battle Isles titles: Those that count as "PvP Title" in the HoM calculator and can only be acquired in the battle isles.
    • Gladiator. In the Random arenas.
    • Hero. In the gate to th Mysts guarded by the Zaishen.
    • Champion. In the Guild Halls hosted in the Battle isles.
    • Codex. In the Codex Arena.
    • Commander. Gone. Where the Codex Arena was.
    • Zaishen. In the Isle of the Nameless.
  • Special titles: Those that are too different to fit with the rest.
    • Defender of Ascalon: It is done doing repeating the same thing, not in the battle isles, no items necessary, not related to skills.
    • Survivor: Can be done anywhere or by repeating the same thing, not in the battle isles, no items necessary, not related to skills.
    • Gamer: It's a PvP title, but it doesn't count as PvP title.
    • Maxed titles. It's a mix of the previous, since it acquired by getting the previous.

This is the oder in which I see them. Gamer is actually a PvP title, Zaishen an item title and Luxon/Kurzick is a hybrid of reputation and PvP, but that is overlooked to keep the classification concordant with the HoM calculator and the rest of the titles, and to reduce the complexity of the list so each title appears only in one section. If they ever change that, then "Battle Isles titles" can be changed to "PvP titles", this time overlooking that Zaishen is actually an item title. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 20:34, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

The Battle Isles/Special titles makes sense above, but the way it was put in the article doesn't. Either keep how it was, or use the above in full, not just one piece. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 17:35, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
I made this list after reading the changes made by someone else to the page after reading my opinion on what the HoM considers PvP titles. It became a bit confusing after the HoM changes, but after those changes it's became a bit inconsistent and more confusing. The above list is how I see them, and it makes more sense to me, but that's me, so I need more opinions, I'll edit the article sorting them with this classification if enough people agree with that, or if no one bothers to come and suggest alternatives in a month or so. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 15:12, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
I don't completely understand what you are proposing — you've mixed rationale with presentation above. Could you create a sandbox page that shows how you think the section should look?
