The burning Titan at the end[edit]

I have just done this mission in HardMode and the titan was attacking me. I'll test it later in NM --AntiLamer 15:20, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Just did the mission in normal mode and the titan does attack you, updated the page to reflect this.--Katzchen 08:12, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Alternate Walkthrough[edit]

This article is well written and quite coherent. I would like to suggest an alternate path but am unsure how to include it into the main article without breaking it's continuity. Suggestions would be appreciated - assuming this is viable.

For players having difficulty defeating the Mursaat and Jade bosses in this mission, passing them might be easier. The trade-off is some additional battles (with easier opponents), additional travel (through a pool of lava) and not completing the bonus at this time.
Follow the standard walkthrough to kill off all of the opponents in the gate house. Once the first gate is opened simply run past the Mursaat bosses as quickly as possible. They're attached to the gate so they will not follow very far. Continue west until you arrive at and defeat the Jade Bows and Ether Seal of the next gate. The next set of bosses is just inside this gate, do not enter the gate or get close enough to aggravate the bosses. You simply want to remove the Jade Bow and Ether Seal enemies from attacking in case things go horribly wrong later on when you come back to this area.
Backing away from the gate you will find a curved pool of lava and, on the far side, a pathway heading west. Go through the lava, follow the path down an incline, and over a bridge on the left - crossing over a chasm. This will bring you to another gate protected by Jade Bows and an Ether Seal. (This gate is not mentioned at all in the original walkthrough but can be seen on the map included with this article). Defeating these enemies will give you access to the area behind the wall. Onward you will find three Jade Bows that are inactive, kill them to arrive along the side of the Mursaat bosses, monk and Jade Bows from the gate you didn't enter earlier.
By carefully hugging the right wall (heros and henchmen will need to be restrained) you can get close enough to inflict killing damage on the monk. This will cause the Jade Bows and Mursaat bosses to approach. Fall back, pulling the Bows as much as possible, and the bosses will return to their spawning point. Hugging the right wall again you should be able to just slip past the Mursaat bosses, go up the stairs, and be able to attack the Ether Seal on the gate without interference.
Unfortunately their is no way of slipping past the next set of bosses as they spawn directly in front of the gate and Ether Seal. Combat is your only option. Defeat the Mursaat boss first, the Jade Bow boss is a weaker opponent doing less damage.

I should mention that I performed this route with an El/Mo and a full party of heros & henchmen, but no other players, in case it alters anything. I realize GW scales mob quantity and capabilities depending on the party doing the mission. Perhaps someone else is willing to try this mission walkthrough to see how viable this is for other professions/parties. None of my other characters are this far into the Prophecies campaign. -- Sabardeyn 19:53, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

You can open the final seals easily with H/H by posting them up in the hallway where you come in to the pit that holds the final seals. This is roughly the West side of the map. Open the seals one at a time. Rush the first seal with the whole party. When the the seal is down, post the h/h up into the hall just past the stairs going back up into the hall back from where you came and follow them. If the Seal Guards aren't dead, pull them back to your h/h's or kill them yourself. The Mursaat Guardians will spawn from East of the pit of the final seals, then West, then East again. Try to pull the first East-spawned Mursaat back to your party. Be patient and don't go too deep into the seals to pull it or you'll get hammered by the seals. Since you're set up on the West side, the one Mursaat Guardian that spawns on the West is easily killed. Once you've killed the Seal Guards and 3 Mursaat Guardians, you can move on to the second seal. Repeat the process until all seals are destroyed. Good hunting. The map[edit]

What does the A, B, C, D mean on it ? Vezz 00:19, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

As far as I can tell they are as follows. A) Starting location of Leah Stone. B) Location of intersection where the patrols come and go. C) General area that wurms and eidolon are located in. D) Ending location for Leah Stone. -- Sabardeyn 21:01, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Leah Stone[edit]

I've just found a nice bug. We freed Lea Stone by killing all the guards, but we didn't talk to her at all. She started walking around the fortress so of cause we hastened to clear the path. She was way behind us but when we arrived at the Lava pool she was already there (being smashed to pulp by some flesh golems). Which proves that you shouldn't ignore girls... Pudding 14.12.07

could they make her run she adds like 10 unnecessary minutes to the mission.75.172.43.176 01:35, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Leah now runs all the time, and no longer wastes time wandering around in the fortress upper deck. Oldmonk 19:31, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
The problem is, Leah's behaviour is unwise and hardly predictable: sometimes she waits for cleaning the current area of enemies, sometimes not. Exclamation sign above her figure means really nothing, no any dialogue is possible. It would be much better if she behaves like Ghostly Hero in Dunes of Despair, where we were able to order him to stop and wait or follow us. --Slavic 11:08, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Is it normal she goes like "My soul is free. Thank you. I can finally be at peace." twice?--84.192.6.24 20:18, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

"Finally, she is affected by burning from the lava, requiring you to stop frequently and wait for her to regenerate her health." The wording of this sentence makes it seem like there's a lot of lava pools along the bonus route when there's only one, and going through that lava didn't really faze her or require me to wait at all. If the wait to heal is referring to if you clear the path as she goes along, that should be clarified. 24.47.80.100 09:05, 6 May 2013 (UTC)

Redirect[edit]

I am redirecting Abaddon's Mouth (explorable area) here because this mission has no explorable area. Shard 05:51, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Using Heroes[edit]

For some reason, heroes act unusually in this mission. For example, if you target a jade of mursaat behing the first gate, let the heroes run up to the gate, and then flag them back to the starting point, they continue running into the fortress until they get killed, now, this happened on attempting the mission 3 times just to find out if it was temporary, but it doesnt appear to be, can someone help me here. --The Thunderbolt Guy 10:07, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Do you have your heroes set to attack or defend? If they are set to attack, and you target something, they will continue to attack it whether flagged or not. --Wyn's Talk page Wynthyst 10:10, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

They are set to attack, but if you flag them after you target, then they run to the flag before attacking, which they didn't. --The Thunderbolt Guy 10:13, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

I dont think they act different in this particular mission, was probably just a glith or a distraction in their AI for a moment. -- Nox Coma 06:46, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
IMO a glitch - the same "heroes on strike" thing happened to me here, and in Ring of Fire Mechu95 20:54, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
I had this glitch in Ring of Fire too, I'm about to try this mission, hopefully it won't happen >< ~Farlo Talk 10:41, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Note about chest[edit]

"Locked chests sometimes spawn in Leah Stone´s path, making the bonus impossible. Checking for chests before attempting bonus might therefore save a lot of time." Good note. Walking ahead searching for possible treasure chests which may or may not even affect the path of Leah Stone is a big time saver. We really need this here? --93.39.37.223 21:26, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

There needs to be a note that it may happen; the other part would be more useful if we had pics or map points for the specific chest spawn points known to cause trouble. --Star Weaver 21:32, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
I knew she could be blocked by chests, I saw three chests on my way, she passed the first two without problems, and is now stuck on the last. Like, right at the foot of the mountain. I can see the green... and my dervish is pissed >< 213.166.198.75 16:44, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

Elite[edit]

"Some of the elite skills found on the island where the bonus takes place can not be obtained anywhere else in the game. If you plan on attempting the bonus, it may be wise to take a Signet of Capture with you." I checked the lists and none of the aforementioned elites exist. All of them do not appear on the island, and the ones that do have many other capture locations in Guild Wars. --Tyri Sunbeam 05:34, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

The Restore Condition, Fevered Dreams, and Soul Leech bosses all have a chance to appear on that island (as well as a few other spots in the mission). These bosses can only be found during this mission, so that's why the note is there. – Emmett 05:39, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Unnecessary Notes[edit]

Could someone please look into this?

  • The note about flagging H/H out of Hydra's AoE magic is common sense and not really specific to this mission.
  • The note about checking for possible chests that may get Leah Stone stuck in her path is counter productive. Seriously, checking the path for chests before attempting the bonus is not needed at ALL. The event of Leah getting stuck must be very rare, as I've done this mission 20+ times over the years and it never happened. Thus the note should state that there is a rare chance she might get stuck, in which case the player should restart the mission. I believe it's better advice than asking the player to check beforehand for something so unlikely to happen, it's a waste of time.--Sensei 13:33, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

Lich Bug[edit]

First time I did mission, and at the end, when killing the titan, I tried to pick up the gold in the area and the Lich appeared, and I think I even hit him, not sure, because my heroes and hench ended mission. Have anyone seen this before?

Cartography[edit]

Map is 2.2% Please add to the notes. Before killing the last seal, head north east to obtain a section before fighting the final titan.

Ambush bug?[edit]

I've done the ambush section before where the mursaat monk has been killed and the jades have been inactive, however, when I did the mission earlier today the monk was killed well before the first group of jades, but both groups were active and attacked the party as we approached. Has this been deliberately changed, accidentally changed, or did I just hit a random bug? 92.4.70.23 01:30, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

I'd say the jades not attacking is the bug, whereas if you kill the monk and the jades attack you anyway, that's just you having to do the mission as intended. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 01:35, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Is this what the "Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented enemies from attacking during the Abaddon's Mouth mission." refers to Here ? ISTR that ever since then those Jades haven't needed the Monk to wake them. 82.69.0.3 01:54, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Probably. I removed the note in the article. Was very surprised when I went to run past the jade armors like usual and they attacked. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 15:04, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
Yes the bug has been fixed, too bad as well, it was always fun to run around the Jades and get a nice close look at them. Nay the One and Only User Nay the One and Only SIG.jpg 01:23, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

Abbadon...duh?[edit]

Isn't the Trivia at the end of the page about Abbadon being GW's god of secrets and water a little unneeded? MarcoDzi 22:09, 27 December 2009 (UTC)

Pretty sure that note was made before NF, so it wasn't as well known. Nay the One and Only User Nay the One and Only SIG.jpg 01:31, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

Bug found, tested and confirmed on several occasions[edit]

There is a bug at the western ether seal (if you go the back way into the fortress after doing the bonus) where you might find the ether seal fighting the dark flame dryders that patrol that area. If you interrupt the fight before the seal finishes them all off (and it always will) then the door will not open once you kill the seal. I have tested this repeatedly both alone and with guildmates. Screenshots will be provided if requested. I think this would be a bug worth noting since it requires you to trek back to the other seal to gain entrance and is a waste of time. Waiting for the dryders to die off then attacking the seal will remedy this bug. Nay the One and Only User Nay the One and Only SIG.png 22:06, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

Go ahead and add it to the article then. -Ninjatek 15:01, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
Or....report it to Anet so something can be done about it . -- Arduin talk 15:41, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
I'll add it and report it, just need to get down some more detailed descriptions of the area before I post it, I'm bad with directions lol. Btw I might need some advice on setting up a bug note, never done it before, message me on my talk page plz. ty. Nay the One and Only User Nay the One and Only SIG.jpg 01:25, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
I just encountered this bug and can confirm that it is reproducible. I added the bug note to the page--feel free to modify it. Vendetta411 15:35, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Completing without the burning Titan[edit]

I've completed this mission yesterday in H/M. After clearing all six seals, I skipped the cinematics preceding the burning Titan and it actually never spawned. After pressing the skip button, I was taken directly to the Ring of Fire outpost. I had already completed this mission before, both in N/M and H/M, and never experienced this. Has anyone else observed this annomaly? If it is recurring, maybe it should be added to the article. Jf 13:29, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

Going to need at least 2 confirmations from at least 2 people, then its Noteworthy. --Neil2250 , Render Lord User Neil2250 sig icon6.png 14:50, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

Leah stop points for bonus escorting[edit]

"One member of the party will have to escort the spirit Leah, otherwise she stops and stays where she is" Well I did a little researching and to put it accurately she will auto run by herself all the way past the first lava lake then stop. Once you get in range of her she will proceed to run to the island but stop short of crossing the bridge. Go in range again and she will go complete the bonus. The escort can take the path beneath the bonus while staying in range which saves time rejoining the party.--Bluespider 23:16, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

mission doesn't end[edit]

i ran through in HM after doing the bonus in 25 minutes, killed all seals, skipped cutscene, kill titan and his spawns, and the mission doesn't end. we're just standing here for no reason.--24.89.131.186 17:24, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

to be fair im on wireless which goes in and out occasionally. maybe that's the problem. also I tried going back and killing a few enemies in case that might trigger something but nothing happened.--24.89.131.186 17:29, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
I just did this mission on NM. Finished; all great. It shows that I did not even try...ie, there are no swords through the shield! This game is still loved and played by many! Shouldn't Anet at least *try* to keep it up to date? I know they want us all to play GW-2. I like GW-1 better!--Xanobi (talk) 20:58, 10 April 2021 (UTC)

Final titan, what a wimp[edit]

I just finished this in NM with 7heroes, and I was disappointed by the titan at the end. We had stomped around the island, spell-slaying jade and mursaat through the walls, and so on, as you do. I did the bonus by clearing the path then going back for Leah, no problem. I even considered infusing a third set of armour but didn't bother in the end.

So then I open the Door of Komalie, quite a nice fight, and watched the cinematic. Then the titan appears, my group appeared, and the fight began, then ended because the titan was dead. Fortunately I didn't blink, because if I had, I'd have missed it. Very disappointing, really. Cynique 15:18, 4 September 2011 (UTC)

You said it yourself, 7 heroes and Normal mode. Try hard mode if you want more of a challenge and don't use any pve skills. 74.243.163.16 20:38, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

Bug verification[edit]

Bug.If the western Ether Seal is fighting Dryders and isn't allowed to finish them off, its gate will not open after being killed.
Bug.If a Darkstone Chest spawns next to the 2 bosses near the start, Leah Stone will get stuck and the bonus cannot be completed.

Managed to run into both of these today. When are bugs like this going to be fixed? Probably never. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.141.153.139 (talk) at 10:33, 8 January 2012 (UTC).

Hard Mode H/H easy way[edit]

Did bonus + infuse in HM with H/H.

Secret? Discordway. That is all. Works like a charm. Didn't try but I'm quite sure that princess suicide would survive bonus route. --Osael 23:22, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

Well prophecies is fairly easy anyway. Most missions and vanqs in the game are, now. Thanks to the 7 hero update.74.243.163.16 20:45, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

Normal Mode now impossible[edit]

There is a new bug or feature, in which around 40 mursaat guardians spawn (there are too many to count) after the 3rd Ether seal goes down. Even my super duper heroes team did not survive long. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 147.147.136.124 (talk) at 23:26, 26 July 2019 (UTC).

Leah Auto-completes Bonus[edit]

Just ran this in normal mode to get an elite and bonus that I missed the first time. I stopped at the 2nd Dryder spot along the bonus path and let Leah get out of earshot (grey text), and circled back to clear some map since the guide said she stops. To my surprise a couple minutes later, the bonus completed! She never lost any health after spot #2 so you can just let her go? --68.104.239.59 01:42, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
