Trivia[edit]

Is it really relevant? I see no reason for this to be a reference, as there could be many other instances of this name, and it is likely not related to this character. The Orlando 00:55, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

I believe that is the whole idea behind calling it Trivia. It is a trivia point. 69.182.158.57 01:29, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

The problem with that interpretation is that you would have no right to complain if I added every possible usage of Kai, since none of them is more or less relevant than the one from Lexx. --Irgendwer 01:47, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
^This. Does Kai from Beyblade have some stake in this too? --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 02:03, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
The problem is you think that people WOULD complain if you used trivia, for, well I don't know, TRIVIA. I agree with 158.57, personally I wouldn't say anything against it, it is for trivia, after all. 69.182.134.81 16:05, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
Besides which, there are other NPC names that have the same name as other fictional and real-life people, and I have seen no complaint on those trivia references. I put 42's trivia back in. 69.182.134.81 16:08, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
It's about a plausible connection to the original source. Patterns of speech, character phrases, and unusual name combinations are all indicators of a connection to an original source. Can you provide any connection (besides a 3-character name) to Lexx? --JonTheMon 16:23, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
Do you seriously think that adding the full contents of Kai and Kai (name) to the article would be remotely appropriate? If not, what are you suggesting? It's called trivia because it doesn't help you play or understand the game, not because it doesn't tell us about the subject of the article. --Irgendwer 18:43, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
I would say this is much like Tuomas. Kai is not an uncommon name in Germany. Koda User Koda Kumi UT.jpeg Kumi 20:09, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
If by Germany you mean Asia, then yes. User Felix Omni Signature.pngelix Omni 20:34, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
I would presume that when someone said Germany, that they meant Germany. I would rather give people the benefit of the doubt that they know the difference. As I am sure it may also be a common name in Asia as well. Jon, can you provide any concrete (100%) evidence that it ISN'T related? 69.182.134.81 06:29, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

This is a stretch, but Kai could be in reference to Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, where ___kai___ appears on the crest in many places as well as 3 "beta stars" as Wei No Su is closer to the "stars". --136.165.1.19 23:23, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
