I'll move this to the correct page (Talk:Aegis (shield)). Skills don't drop ;) - Anja Anja Astor (talk) 12:52, 1 May 2007 (EDT)
Argh thanks. >_< - BeX 12:55, 1 May 2007 (EDT)
I haven't been looking at the actual article, just navigating the talk pages. :P - BeX 12:56, 1 May 2007 (EDT)
I guessed ;) No harm done anyway. - Anja Anja Astor (talk) 12:57, 1 May 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Skill Change

Earshot = Fail. This skill sucks now. Enchantments are easy to strip and its effect wasn't that powerful. More to the point, earshot is worthless. WOOT! 5 less energy and now NO-ONE will be benefited by my spell! Do they wan't to give people more of a reason to run paragons and earshot radius? Dancing Gnome 06:26, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Be nice now... -- §Lacky§ says: Sign your comments! Image:User Lacky sig.png 08:08, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Anyone notice that this skill is just nerfed now? in an earlier update they changed it to earshot only, but reduced casting time to 1 and energy to 10. Now they bring back the casting time and energy and monks are left with a nerfed skill. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.174.28.140 (talk • contribs) at 21:15, 30 April 2008 (UTC).

First, sign please (Read Lacky's signature!). Second, I don't know what's more hilarious. Your failure to read, for this had been discussed further down the page as a temporary change, or this comment being the day before the revert. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 21:01, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 15 Energy

As of today, Aegis costs 15 energy, up from 10. Article is already changed. Gogey 23:17, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Nerf bat. -.- I miss the old Aegis. D: Halogod35 01:51, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

This skill should be moved over to energy storage because no monk will be able to afford to use this skill.William Wallace 05:38, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

That or move Glyph of Lesser Energy over to Divine Favor. DancingZombies 06:06, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
If a monk can't afford the extra 5e for a party-wide block-buff, they have serious e-management problems, and may want to rethink their style/build. --SoraMitsukai 16:58, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
Agreed, but it would be nice to have one or the other: a 10 point prot for everyone in earshot or a 15 point prot for everyone within minimap range. I prefer the 15 point-minimap range but, even after the change to earshot, I still used Aegis often. However, 15 points AND limited to earshot seems excessive. I hope this really is temporary. -- SeditiousBroommy talk page 13:52, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
It also prevents overextending that would otherwise be foolish, so your FOTM melee builds have to think twice before risking a counterspike from a linebacker. IMO, it's fine as is, because it requires good positioning for very powerful effect. --SoraMitsukai 05:46, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

For one, it used to cost 15 energy some time before. Second, the nerf is TEMPORARY. Get over it.

It also used to cover those who overextended outside the monk's casting range for that cost. Regardless, Sora is right. 76.89.81.150 01:22, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Enchantment duration increase?

If used with a +20% enchant mod does this mean Aegis could last 13Sec at 14 Protection Prayers? If so, it should be possible to maintain 50% chance to block with Glyph of Renewal :3 - Byakko User Page 07:36, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
