Color[edit]

Wow, I didn't notice until yet that Ancient Seers are Brown and "normal" Seers are black... —ZerphatalkThe Improver 19:20, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Look the same to me. Ramei Arashi 06:46, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

Quotes[edit]

I've been hitting "Random Page" a lot and stumbled here, switched back between this and the Guard's page to look at quotes and all of the ones here (not just the two listed before) are also there. So that's what I changed. Bathory 13:35, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Apparently, seers drink. Paddymew 22:20, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
I think that is just generic fighter NPC combat dialogue. Those without weapons (commoners) have a different line, but I think those with weapons+the seer (and others) have this combat dialogue. I didn't remove it when I merged because I wasn't sure, but eh. -- Konig/talk 22:23, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

profession[edit]

Exactly how do we know that this guy is a necromancer? There aren't any skills mentioned on the page. Pastafarian Hunter 14:55, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

No idea - perhaps he gains energy when things die?.. Seems that the original creator of the page wrote that he was a Necromancer :/ --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 18:38, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
Apparently he does gain energy: see this talk page - only when its human deaths can we see it though. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 18:42, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

Same guy?[edit]

How do we know he is the same guy, I think this might be a generic name like canthan peasant.--Mark, User talk:Markisbeest het Beest 10:00, 10 August 2011 (UTC)

We can be certain the one in Ring of Fire is the same one as the one in Iron Mines of Moladune which is called "Seer" ("We meet again."). The proximity of the one in Iron Mines to the one in Mineral Springs (just across the frozen lake, as close as you can get really) implies those two are the same. The last two would be the uncertainty, as I don't recall the dialogue of the Abaddon's Mouth one. So if it is a generic name, then only 2 differ truth be told. Konig/talk 17:22, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
Okay, so it's basically only the two in Iron Mines and Ring of Fire that are certain to be the same. Then I'm going to make a slight change on the Seer (race) page to make clear that we are not certain of this.--Mark, User talk:Markisbeest het Beest 17:57, 10 August 2011 (UTC)

Gender[edit]

Okay, Evennia says in her mission briefing for Iron Mines of Moladune that the seer is a girl. Seeking The Seer says the seer is a man. According to Bobby Stein, the seer is genderless (which is mentioned in the Seer article). All other sources, including this wiki, seem to avoid pronouns. Perhaps a rewrite is in order? Blue Totoro 10:24, 26 January 2015 (UTC)

Updated. Thanks for finding that reference. G R E E N E R 10:46, 26 January 2015 (UTC)

dialogue[edit]

"You have no more armor I can infuse. You are now on even footing with the Mursaat." The Seer also says this if you talk to her (either to give her the Spectral Essence or after she has received it) while wearing fully infused armor, and then will not infuse any more armor you might have, even if you change into it. The page doesn't really explain this at the moment. Mist Y (talk) 03:22, 18 January 2018 (UTC)

Mineral Springs[edit]

So, I just got this Spectral Essence in Mineral Springs. Does this mean I can carry this all the way to Iron Mines of Moladune? Maybe I can put it into my chest before I am ready to take on Iron Mines of Muladune (I doubt it...)? I mean, why have it here, if I can't take it there? Wait! Does this connect to there?!?!? --Xanobi (talk) 20:46, 6 April 2021 (UTC)

I shall return!

The Seer is just forward of the capture location!!! This is WAY easier than going to Hell's Precipice (or which ever...)!--Xanobi (talk) 20:46, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
