Repeat of Last Year's April Fool's Day[edit]

Really ArenaNet? Now that Guild Wars 2 is out, the Live Team for Guild Wars are only allowed to recycle old content? Disappointing, extremely disappointing. DonutxDude 11:10, 1 April 2013 (UTC)

Zero effort going into GW anymore. Wonder how long before they just pull the plug?? LarryS 14:34, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
Why do you think they are not allowed to do such stuff? I’d assume that they simply just don’t have the resources for more stuff. And face it: The original Guild Wars is no longer ArenaNet’s priority. So don’t expect any big updates for it. poke | talk 15:32, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
It's still too bad that they won't even come out with the new developer notes. I could prrobably write those in only 15 minutes. I do understand that they don't feel like writing any new code at this point. At least they give us the recycled content in the first place. Now we can farm for those rare items. Because that's all we need is something else to farm. 71.194.198.101 17:20, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
Even I'm kind of disappointed upon reading this. The least they could have done was also redo the older April's Fools along with the quests. Konig 22:04, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
What's most disappointing to me I think, is that I hardly believe the "they don't have any resources "problem. Think of how much money they got from Guild wars 2. I mean, they got my 60 bucks and I'm never getting it back. With all that money, you'd think it wouldn't be so hard to get one or two people to work on new content a couple times a year, rather than updating the tournaments and putting holidays on repeat. The game seems close to dead, but I haven't found any reason to play lately because there's nothing new. Of course, that brings up the one problem the world (and surely arenanet now) revolves around: money. There's no point to expend any resources when I'm sure game sales are close to none. It's disappointing to see they don't understand loyalty to the fan base this guild wars has developed. Not to bring up this game compared to others, but I personally dislike all other mmorpgs. Guild wars 2 was one of the worst. Guild wars 1's uniqueness has bound me for so many years, it truly is disheartening to see this proof that it's time is really over.--66.41.96.3 07:26, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

<reset indent> You dont have to participate in the festival, if you dislike it so. On other hand, I enjoyed the break and TANGO DOWN! :) MystiLefemEle 07:31, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

The problem being I've already done it.--66.41.96.3 19:38, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
The only thing I'm disappointed about was the fact that it only lasted one day. The last times the Annihilator quests were offered, they were around for 2-3 days. I thought it would be the same this year, but I never got a chance to do them. Ailina 13:45, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
@IP 66.41.96.3: ArenaNet has the resources, but they don't give it to the Live Team - instead it's all given to the 5+ teams working on Guild Wars 2.
I'm also sad it was only up for one day. I never did finish Annihilator 2 last year, and now I missed it this year. >.< Maybe would have been more inclined to log on April 1st if there was more things for April Fools' Day. Konig 21:08, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
