Does this skill effectivly render the opponent(s) useless if only life stealing is used on them?[edit]

It's a hex. Nice and easy to remove and there's still stuff like enemy spells, spirits and traps...so...no. I don't think so.

If your team build was centered around some life steal spike, this would be more than useful. --80.16.169.162 11:38, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
If u casted this on a rit, they'd be completely unaffected.--WikiWu 09:41, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
That is to say they'd lose virtually no functionality...lawl--WikiWu 09:42, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

Rework[edit]

Binding Chains: Create Spirit of Binding to target foes location that foe and all adjancet foes to that location moves xx% slower and takes xx dmg each second while moving. 5Energy 3Cast 45Coold. Would make this seen in skillbars more often

Oh no! This is just fine as it is. A completely subtile piece of skill art. I love it as it is, and it is definitely NOT underpowered... 85.178.201.199 23:22, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
In HA and GvG, it's difficult for it to thrive. In AB and other areas, it's just awesome. Try using it as a way to escape from any foe or just stop the one bothering(that everyone seems to be neglecting, pesky melees and Rangers) you while you are busy with the supporting.--ShadowFog 14:09, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
Let's not forget that degen is not a form of damage. Therefore, a clever tactic is to apply a cover hex that does degen. If the foe doesn't have hex removal, you can just sit there and lul as he degens to death. --SetandSpike 17:54, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

July 2009 Update[edit]

This + Illusionary Weaponry?[edit]

Sounds like a great combo for a 1v1 build since IW isn't technically damage. -98.127.34.125 20:31, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Elite Enchantment Spell. (30 seconds.) You deal no damage in melee, but target foe takes 8...34...40 damage whenever you attack in melee. It is damage, although not weapon damage, so will end binding chains. 76.198.250.57 17:59, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Amity[edit]

A hex that prevents the sufferer from attacking, and its not related? --Briar 13:54, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Nevermind me. Being stupid. Again. --Briar 13:59, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Hang on[edit]

With the new update, wouldn't this actually be a reasonable addition to nuker builds/teams? I mean 3 seconds of assured hits. Cost and recharge kind of kill that though..Harrier C. Goodman talk 17:12, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

Urgoz is gonna be so much fun! ^^ - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 17:22, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
In Urgoz binding chains did damage even if you stood still. Markus Clouser User Markus Clouser signature img.jpg 00:28, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
And lasted 15-20 seconds (people generally died before they managed to count the seconds). I'll add the info to the page, maybe it'll save some headaches until it gets fixed. Haruno MidoriUser HarunoMidori signature img.png 20:26, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
Oshit! :P - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 20:39, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
Does Urgoz's version have the damage as well? Basically, is it still the old version? --Kyoshi (Talk) User Kyoshi sig.png 20:55, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
It has the damage bug too. I split the bug in two, since only Urgoz's one has the duration issue. But now that i think about it, the change i made might cause confusion, like it already did :P - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 20:59, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Basically, Urgoz has the updated and bugged version (deals damage even if you're not moving), but he is teh 1337 so his Binding Chains lasts much longer ^^ Haruno MidoriUser HarunoMidori signature img.png 21:22, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Ohkay. --Kyoshi (Talk) User Kyoshi sig.png 21:36, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
Or maybe Urgos's lasts 3 seconds but he manages to spam it so we think it lasts longer. Markus Clouser User Markus Clouser signature img.jpg 22:24, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
Also possible. If you think that's the case, check the duration bar; if it's refilling every few seconds, it's just him spamming it. otherwise it really does last longer. As it is I don't think the AI should spam skills like that, but I don't really know. --Kyoshi (Talk) User Kyoshi sig.png 23:41, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
