So, do you have to have R8 for the pet to appear? And does the pet actually appear if the requirement is met? 90.200.54.99 16:45, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Yea, no shit? It's the same skill, different location.-- User Vanguard VanguardLogo.pnganguard 01:07, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, there's no way to even activate this skill. Not to mention, the note sounds a little silly. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 21:24, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

Chance of failure?[edit]

Should we include this skill in Category:Skills with a failure rate linked to an attribute?

  • Pro: technically, the skill has a 100% failure rate if Beast Mastery < 8.
  • Con: technically, it's the only skill that has a works/doesn't work break point based on a attribute: it always works when its prerequisites are met.

I would call it a "non-acting skill": this is more a certificate or token of possession rather than a real skill. Another example is Charm Animal (White Mantle). There is a Category:Passive skills in Wiki, but such Charm skills are not attributed as passive now for unknown reason. Otherwise it would be a passive skill linked to an attribute. --Slavic 22:07, 27 December 2012 (UTC)
