Is this chest really called a victory chest? I can't find anything to confirm it. --Lemming64 17:12, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Is it fair to say that max Dwarven Axes almost never drop @ max damage now that we've got hard mode? --Tankity Tank 10:53, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

I don't think I've ever seen anything nonmax drop from this chest. Reqs have been all over the place, but I've never seen anything with less than max damage. -Auron 11:00, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

I'd say the note about dwarven axes almost never dropping max needs adjusting since the release of gwen, gwen HM and the fact there's now a crafter for them. 195.7.245.130 18:47, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

Thinking about it the same should be done about runic blades since there are accounts of them dropping in GWEN, and on the runic blade its listed they drop in some dungeons? 195.7.245.130 18:49, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

According to this, only Factions endgame skins and zodiac weapons don't drop from here. I believe it also doesn't drop the following: Destroyer Weapons, EotN endgame weapons, NF endgame weapons, Proph endgame weapons, tormented weapons, asuran/norn/monument/dwarven eotn craftable weapons. Additionally, I'm pretty sure it does drop factions endgame weapons (such as exalted aegises) and zodiac weapons. You are correct about most of that. This chest (and the Zaishen Chest will not drop a skin if no monster can drop it. This is true for all endgame and GWEN crafter skins. Canthan Elite Mission skins are the only item skins that the victory chest does not drop when monsters do. I'll add a note about this. It hasn't been updated in awhile.

However, I have never seen it drop an Exalted Aegis, as it is a canthan elite mission item. ~Shard (talk) 08:04, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

They drop in normal mode ascalon, albeit very rarely. I believe they can also drop in presearing, but I'm not too sure about that. It's really hard to tell if they've changed anything in the past three years. ~Shard (talk) 08:04, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Was the chest added later or was it included from the very start?

There was always a chest, but it used to work differently. A team could only open it once (once per team, not once per player), and five random items would drop for random people. It was also located on the altar, not on the victory ledge as the current chest is. In fact, here's what it said when someone opened it. (I got really lucky). ~Shard 05:02, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Max Dmg Weapons

This chest only drops gold items, but sometimes non-max damage and sometimes non-inscribable. As far in terms of what drops, it drops every skin there is in the game apart from Tormented Weapons, and End-game weapons, and yes it drops Exalted Aegis.
