I'm removing the trivia about the Chromatic Scale. It is not a pun at all, it's simply a consequence of game mechanics: drakes drop scales, and these drakes are called Chromatic Drakes. Hence, Chromatic Scales. It's not a pun. KStarfire 07:17, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
- This would be a great question to pose to Linsey. Drakes can drop scales, but I haven't (yet) been able to find any other special scale types dropped by drakes - no Obsidian Furnace Scale, River Scale, Lightning Scale, Grand Scale, Sand Scale, etc. This name seems to be cleverly chosen exactly because it could be a cutesy pun. --Ralmon the Gen-- 08:58, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

- aren't you exaggerating a bit? in fact there is only a minor resemblance imo. shape and color are similar, but that's certainly just a little coincidence. —ZerphaThe Improver 17:21, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Visions of Regret
This may be obvious to most, but bringing a mesmer with Visions of Regret will make farming these things way faster if they are in a group. I've been farming them in the Battledepths and they are all in big groups, so this makes getting scales very easy and fast. FloppyJoe 18:47, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
