Not a spell[edit]

A sure thing to look out. This is only a skill and not a spell. So it's not affected by Backfire Backfire, Shroud of Silence Shroud of Silence, Enchanter's Conundrum Enchanter's Conundrum, Arcane Conundrum Arcane Conundrum,Dazed Dazed, etc. You can perform the skill without the fear of been interrupted.ShadowFog 19:42, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

And you've never heard of Dshot? Yes.. you CAN be interrupted, its just not likely given the 1/4 second activation time.99.228.244.31 22:51, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
I think what he means to say is, you can use this to remove Holy Veil from yourself, dropping gay hex stacks like this one without losing half your health, you can destroy this combo, and generally bypass a lot of the caster hate directed at Monks. Dshot isn't caster hate. It's everything-hate. User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 01:44, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Good luck trying to d-shot CoP because that's what you'll need! (1/4 >>> 1/2 cast) --Ulterion 06:10, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
read up on your skill activation times... kthnxbai 03:47, 13 October 2011 (UTC)

Builds[edit]

It should be noted that this is one of the most important skills in the following build; "Poke the Baby."

I think you should throw your computer out the window for suggesting that. =) 66.202.1.169 19:56, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

I've been laughing my ass off for about 5 minutes. Thanks guys. Also, WORST icon ever. --Frozen 00:58, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Lyssa's Aura[edit]

this works well for bonders using lyssa's aura to keep up bonds on themselves while keeping healing output high. this allows them to use contemplation of purity to its maximum potential. Healing self for 480 using it wouldnt be difficult, so its a nice way to completely nullify a spike for example.

No specific[edit]

The description isn't very clear (at least to me). Does it remove at max 1...7...8 hexes and conditions or does it remove at max 1...7...8 hexes and 1...7...8 conditions?Crimmastermind 07:33, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

I believe it's "remove at max 1..7..8 hexes and conditions". Kyte 12:18, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Diversion[edit]

Does Diversion divert this skill or does it just get removed? --86.7.147.28 14:52, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Diversion increases CoP's recharge time. If you have Diversion on you, all you can do is be pre-veiled, have someone else help you, accept the recharge penalty, or sit and twiddle your thumbs.--66.192.104.13 16:40, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

he meant "does CoP remove it before it's triggered" I thnik. 80.126.47.201 09:11, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Synergy[edit]

Great synergy with vital boon imo

I would have to agree. PS:Please sigh your comments with ~~~~ even if you have no account. Da Sonic Friday User Da Sonic Sig2.png 00:41, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

Tidbit of Info[edit]

Not worth a trivia note, imo, but interesting none the less. Cherubim are baby angels, and their only responsibility in creation was to "Contemplate God", as it says in Moses' Ascension. Baby? Baby Angel? Contemplate? Contemplation of Purity? Eh? Eh? FleshAndFaith 18:20, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

hehe nice but yer... I think they just went for that "Babies are pure and innocent" thing... MrPaladin talk 18:23, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
I'm sure that's the reasoning, I just thought their choice of words was interesting, even if it was coincidental. FleshAndFaith 00:39, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

Abuse in current meta[edit]

Avatar of Lyssa's dervs with every derv enchant in the game and contemplation of purity for epic conditions and energy degen spam. Skill should be altered to -removes all your non-dervish enchantments- User: YoUrMoM --I'm stumped, i just tried the above suggested build and there seemd to be no end effect from any of the enchantments removed in this way... any info on this?

wats up with this?[edit]

Ive tested this skill, and for some reason it doesn't remove Maintained enchantments (such as Unyielding Aura) Should this be noted or what, cause i was sad to find this out. --24.239.166.194 07:36, 2 April 2011 (UTC)Retro

A question[edit]

When it says "Removes 1..7..8 hexes and conditions, is that say, 8 conditions and 8 hexes or 4 conditions and 4 hexes? i.e is the number split between hexes/conditions or does it remove that many each? 95.144.50.72 21:36, 18 August 2011 (UTC)

you lose one hex and one condition for every enchantment lost (max 1...7...8 hexes and 1...7...8 conditions) 24.130.140.36 22:55, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
