collector's glitch[edit]

I have experienced a glitch where while I have a collector's edition the special emotes added later are not available. For instance when i dance or use any emote the divine aura shows, however if i use /dancenew or /wings or /special nothing happens or in the case of dancenew it will perform the original dance. I know it's collectors because I bought it and the divine aura shows but everything else added later acts as though I had a regular account. I have contacted support to see what they say but any discussion or help would add great value to me.

Plz someone help...[edit]

I am looking for someone with both prophecies and factions CE so that I can fraps them doing the cool trick of divine aura + dance new. I'll put the fraps on youtube and put the link on this page, but I seriously need a voulnteer :).

Examples of aura[edit]

I don't have the CE so am unable to provide example snapshots of the aura in action. Someone else will have to provide them, or at least one example. --- Ibiris 07:23, 30 March 2007 (EDT)

I'll go ahead and add the same gallery I made for the GuildWiki Divine Aura page. -- Gemini 30 March 2007
Looks good Gemini, cheers :-) -- Ibiris 06:20, 31 March 2007 (EDT)

aura[edit]

whats the deal with that, ive loaded all three games together, dont remember seeing this in my characters any of them. gw is the collectors addition as well as nightfall. factions is the one i had loaded as an individual game and then asked about joining them together. you gave me a new number but said it would be limited for the things i bought it for. thats the back ground history now my questions

1. never seen this aura in any of my characters 2. why only 8 characters if you have all three games linked , i take this as 4 for the first game loaded and then 2 for the games after that collectors addition or not. looked in the store and one character is 10.00 apiece. that aint right. any change in the future about that.

I don't understand your first question... But 2: 4 + 2 + 2 = 8. That is right. If you that wasn't your question, please learn how to do English. Thanks. -- Mini Me 19:40, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

How to 'do' English, dear?

Bug?[edit]

I have bought the Guild Wars Special Edition, so why can't my characters use this?Nicky Silverstar 19:03, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

You need the collector's, not the special. Special just gives you some PvP unlocks --Lumenil 10:19, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Additional Possibility to Obtain the "Devine Aura"?[edit]

I would like to enter an official request to Arenanet for an;

Additional Possibility to Obtain the "Devine Aura"?

A very hard Elite Mission to keep it special still but obtainable for about the 3 million players that would like to enrich their accounts but never knew about GW before it was too late.

Not many can afford another additional purchase. (buying an impossible to find CE collection of Prophesies?

Would be mighty nice. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Omega001 (talk • contribs) at 12:11, 12 September 2007 (UTC).

That would not be fair to those who bought the collectors edition initially. The way I see it, it is both a symbol of being with Guild Wars from the beginning, and supporting it enough to spend the extra money. It has become a Veteran status, and to allow anyone to have it, makes it that much less important. (and yes, anyone could get it.)

Well, if you want divine aura, i wouldn't suggest a pve part, but instead it could be a reward for monthly tournaments? Maybe guilds placing 1-3 every month get it on their account? At least this way millions of people won't get it, it will still remain unique, and it will still remain a challenge to obtain it. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 83.146.34.222 (talk • contribs) at 15:48, 24 December 2007 (UTC).

The way I see it (as one of few players still [arguably] active with Divine Aura), I wouldn't mind ANet starting to sell these the day they start selling BMP. If they would start selling these and not the BMP however, I would feel moderately screwed. — Galil 15:24, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

I have also had this since the beginning and I would be very disappointed if they added any way to get it again.24.195.183.40 23:51, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
I spent $30 in the online store to get the BMP believing that it was exclusive to the offer and it wasn't. Therefore, I'd be disappointed if they add any way to get it again. Oh wait, they did. Therefore, there's nothing wrong with making the Divine Aura available again. Veteran status? Who cares? You could be a player with it and acting like a total noob. Been with them from the beginning? Why are there still unopened copies on eBay? If I buy one of those right now, assuming I'd never had one, would you believe I'd been playing from the beginning? Seriously, people whine over the Divine Aura as if it was a special item. Come the end of this year people will be too busy with GW2 to even care who has the Divine Aura. They made the BMP available, might as well make everything else available too. Nbajammer User Nbajammer sig.png 23:59, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
I totally agree with Nbajammer! I tought my BMP is unique too at the beginning (I've bought GW:EN in store, without booklets, covers, CDs... just to get BMP) but then... it's free 4 oO. Maybe nobody cares about, when the ca-ching is allright ^^

I want this Aura too (one of the only things in the game right now) It affects all Characters in Game, not just the basic ones (Fac and NF just affect 2 Charclass each). And I only know people who "buy" this aura from other "Veterans" on ebay or something... whatever, I've never seen "GW Veterans" with this Aura right now. Maybe they should add something else for the Prophecies Collectors... Minipet, whatever. But I would prefer to buy it in the store :) P.S.: Sry 4 my bad english --80.121.92.135 22:42, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

I still say this would be a terrible idea. I bought the collectors edition in part because of the divine aura. I spent double the amount of money. What you are suggesting is going against their advertising. On the back of the original collectors edition box, under includes, and I quote: "Collectors Edition Exclusive: "Divine Aura"". This quite literally means it can only be received through the collectors edition. The bonus mission on the other hand, specifically stated that they may release it for purchase at a later date.
And you cannot buy the divine aura. You can buy a collectors edition key, which is probably quite expensive by now, but only if it has not been used previously. --Kairu 01:41, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

If there is going to be a chance to get it in pve or whatever I want a way to get Kuunavang,Varesh and the Collector's Edition's Emotes for Assasin, Ritualist, Dervish and Paragon, too. Because I dont understand why the people who bought the normal version should get something that was special fo the people with a Collector's Edition, (I bought one,not on ebay, and 3years ago,) and the people with the Collector's Edition don't get anything at all, the people who got the BMP by buying GW:EN in the Online-Store din't pay anything for the BMP at all, they just don't have the CD and the booklets, and I payed nearly 2x the price of a normal version, For something anyone can get with Ursan or whatever? The GvG guilds get their gold/silver trims, so most of the players will get seriously angry if they get the Divine Aura too. Ohh yeah they can sell it in the Online-Store for 13$, 13$ for some glowing hands? seriously, who would buy it? I bought the CE because of the headset, artbook and the music CD, and you have to be really stupid to pay money for it.(What abou buyable gold trims for PvE Guilds? =P)80.144.91.237 16:40, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

I agree! I live in NZ, and the Collecters Edition wasnt even sold there, so even tho I bought this the day it came out, and would have bought the collector's edition, it wasnt possible. I wish there was a way to appreciate all the people who have played this since the beginning without paing extra :PCrimmastermind 08:06, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Isn't it about time there were additional ways to purchase this? Half the current guild wars population would buy it (Myself included) Such a shame that we are not able to purchase it... T1Cybernetic User T1Cybernetic Glob of Ectoplasm.png 18:54, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

Hate to burst bubbles, but this is never going to happen. Otherwise they could be opened up to false advertising suites, since the original packaging said the received items and benefits were exclusive to their respective collectors editions. Not only that, but it would be a slap in the face to those that purchased the collectors editions for those exclusive benefits. I know of users who do not have CE's who agree with this. Of course you are free to keep talking about it, but it just isn't going to happen. Kairu 21:09, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

Possible feature/bug: I just bought a makeover and when I did /dance my character had the divine aura. It lasted while logged in, even across different characters, but it seems it was client-side only and temporary, as other people couldn't see it and it's gone now I've logged out and back in. Would be interesting to hear from anyone else that's had the same thing happen. If it's a feature then it's a nice one, I've always wanted the divine aura - shame it wasn't permanent! Should this be added?[edit]

I'm a bit new at editing pages, wasn't sure if I should add this...the Divine Aura doesn't show up with drunken emotes (the uncontrolled emotes your character makes while drunk) (image), or with /rank (image). -- Melliechick 16:26, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

If you're currently involved in an emote that does use the aura and follow it up with /rank or /zrank then the aura will continue to display through the remainder of the rank animations. 68.215.248.14 18:27, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

I noticed that it dosnt appear when you do the /dancenew -- have screenshots if needed C4K3 User C4K3 Signature.jpg Talk 09:53, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Disguised Heroes[edit]

During the Halloween Event, the Aura does not show when you are disguised in the Costume Brawl. Anraiki 23:51, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

I'll add it C4K3 User C4K3 Signature.jpg Talk 15:57, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Disabling Divine Aura[edit]

Is it possible to use emotes without showing the divine aura? --24.27.20.20 18:01, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Not through normal interaction, but it's quite simple to use Texmod to disable it. Of course, that will disable everyone's, not just yours, and you're the only person who will be able to see it -- other people not using the mod will still see it. But you'll be able to take ordinary screenshots. --Jette User Jette awesome.png 18:04, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
I wish there were a away to disable the Aura. I love making movies but my character's aura kind of messes up some of the emotes such as /ponder or /moan.Is there a way to disable it myself WITHOUT using text mod? A suggestion to Anet for an Aura Toggle would be nice. --Spigs 00:34, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
nope, sorry. -- Salome User salome sig2.png 01:00, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Aion Wings[edit]

Like the Collector's Edition dances, you can display your Divine Aura with Aion wings by doing a looping emote first. I'm not sure how to edit in that note without breaking the flow of the article, so I'll leave it to someone else. ^^; Zoe 09:40, 27 December 2009 (UTC)

Category... wat[edit]

So why is this in the Anomalies category? --Gammastar 03:57, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

Because the {{anomaly}} template was used to point a non-expected behavior. Is categorized automatically due to that.--Fighterdoken 05:29, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

Question?[edit]

I plan to find a Collector's Edition and get the aura, I would have gotten it when it first came out, but I didn't have enough money at the time. Anyways, my question. I have all four games right now, so if I bought the CE, could I add it to my account and it would just give me the aura? Or would it not work because I have the game already. --Lustre Of Havoc 14:12, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Aura will be added when you add the CE's key --77.251.243.52 14:32, 9 December 2010 (UTC)--Dragon7 cape emblem.pngThe Holy Dragons 14:32, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
