Reference[edit]

There is no proof that this is the only outpost in the Charr Homelands. The only reference I can see for this is the map on GW.com, however, it is labelled as a point of interest, not an outpost. A similar thing is done with the other maps for the other campaigns (if i remember correctly). brains12 (talk) 19:34, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Longey's Ledge is on the border, it might count as part of either region. -- Gordon Ecker 11:15, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Longeye's Ledge is an outpost which is held by a Norn so it's part of the Norn territory and not Charr territory. -- kaheiyeh 11:29, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Should be an outpost[edit]

I don't understand what qualifies this as a Town. It only has a merchant, storage, and Polymock. Towns have traders, armorors, and weapon crafters. It's not even that big. Flint 16:44, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Because every region needs a town. Don't worry, I spent a few minutes the other day looking for a rune trader in there. Calor 01:23, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
The Desolation hasn't a town, but the Bone Palace has even more henchies than this... Zerpha The Improver 20:51, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Agreed. Doomlore Shrine should just be an outpost or converted so it's more like a Town. -- kaheiyeh 11:29, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Removed bug note.[edit]

I've removed the bug note about the fire not moving because I've noticed on rare occasion that the fire as well as moving water effects can freeze and this happens regardless of location. When this happens it affects these effects everywhere until you close and restart the client. As this is a general bug, I'm removing the location specific note. --Valshia 17:44, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

So where would the bug go to so that Arena Net can atleast know about it? Should we creat an article called Fire? — Eloc 03:07, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
A bug? That happens to all forms of animation throughout the game ; voltaic spear, destroyer weapons, fires (Gunnar's Hold has had the same problem, as far as I could tell). It happens if you stay more than 5 hours (I believe) logged into the same client.--99.241.76.164 03:41, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
I'll try out what happens after five times five hours. Maybe it turns on again. Noctarch 03:44, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

THere is only one exit right now?[edit]

So, why are there two exits appearing on the compass AND Mission map? I could swear that there was an exit/entrance that I used just to the west of Gron Fierceclaw. BUt now it's blocked off? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:71.193.143.94 (talk).

It's always blocked. You can only get through by talking to Gron Fierceclaw. -- User Gordon Ecker sig.png Gordon Ecker (talk) 08:47, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Unaccessable?[edit]

I tried running there on my Assassin which has just got into Eye of theNorth, and with and without the quest Search for the Ebon Vanguard, the entrance to Doomlore Shrine is blocked with barricades? Is this just a silly mistake of mine? --78.150.36.110 19:57, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

You'll have to complete Against the Charr (takes about 7 mins if you go direct for the main quest objective) and then do The Dawn of Rebellion quest (takes more like 15). (or you could join someone doing the Dawn of Rebellion quest) Chieftain Alex 20:11, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
Ohh...Thanks for that, silly me. Guess I should get going on it, thanks! --78.150.36.110 20:15, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
Once u get there once and its unlocked if ur party leader and running others it should be open. I've had it locked on runs for others a few times so possibly having certain quests in the log of ppl ur running might change it, such as if they found the helmet on Search or some other vanguard quests possibly 72.64.3.32 20:33, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
Heh its such a quick and easy two quests I've never tried to find out :D Chieftain Alex 21:09, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
Yeah true, couple times i just added a few heros and ran ppl thru it. Once i was on a n00bish character who needed thru Against and forgot to talk to Pyre to get Dawn, its kinda an annoyance to have to run back to where Against ends. I'd say live and learn but why learn too much? Its those random oops that make it fun72.64.3.32 05:40, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

The "Getting There" section currently says, "You can simply walk through the portal without the quest active to get the outpost." That is not true. First time I have tried to unlock the outpost without having the quest (current quest is Search for the Ebon Vanguard). 155.186.49.132 13:39, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
