Zoning!?[edit]

I don't suppose anyone else is having problems zoning into SJM? I just can't get my characters in at all. Half the time, I can't even get into any Factions outpost. So, is this just me or are others having similar problems? User Tytan Crow Crow.jpg Titan Crow 10:52, 29 June 2012 (UTC)

Loads of 040 errors today, server strain :/ File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 11:17, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
There can't be that much strain. As hardly anyone can get it, there can't be that many people actually in the game. Also, on the occasions last night when I did eventually get in, there was barely enough people to warrant 2 districts (EEDs at least). User Tytan Crow Crow.jpg Titan Crow 11:28, 29 June 2012 (UTC)

Finale time[edit]

It says there's 48 minutes until the next finale, but on the table it says GMT 13:01, which was 11 minutes ago? (I live in the UK) Random Weird Guy 12:12, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

One hour difference due to Summer time shift? 76.164.65.219 13:18, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

DRAGON FESTIVAL??[edit]

What a weak excuse for a festival!!! With the announcement of the release of GWII, I would have expected that this would have been a CELEBRATION!!! Today (the "finale") seems more like a dirge!!! Even Emperor Kisu looks so weary he barely keep his head up!! Shame on you, ANET!! Undouble 13:42, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

Precedent[edit]

I hope the fact that there are no longer new masks for this event is not indicative of changes to come for the other events (Halloween, Wintersday). This isn't the first area we've seen ANet stop putting out new content (7th year birthday presents); it seems like the beloved live team is starting to focus on other things as GW2's release looms closer. :( ninestories 13:55, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

They've said they're not going to have as much time on GW now - specifically, that they're not doing new hats for festivals anymore. I expect it to affect Halloween and Wintersday since those have a hat finale, but I'm hoping that we'll get one full round of Celestial minis since that's pretty well predefined. I just hope its 2 masks a year for Halloween and Wintersday, since could normally get two hats. Ramei Arashi 15:22, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
Yes, I hope we get that too. The only festival I missed was the first Wintersday, and I don't want to need to come back two years to get the hats from just one. Also, I think we'll get a full round of celestial minis because that should be a no brainer for them. They should already have them done. --User Master Fast sig-icon.pngShinigami King 16:00, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
The celestial models have been done for years - even before we got the summoning stone (which was put in so those models would be used without a doubt). The live team's lack of time will only be until gw2 is released, supposedly, so we should be getting new content afterwards again, just no more hats it seems (which was, to me, very minor in comparison to new quests). Since they said that they don't have the resources for the Elonian Beyond arc, until they get such I hope they work on finishing the Lunatic Court's plotline... Konig/talk 16:34, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
Oh we actually agree on something (Lunatic Court). Ramei Arashi 20:08, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for the excellent and informative link, Lillian ap Cor. Simply not having the art resources to even produce new hats is a solid and understandable explanation for the change in direction, and considering those facts I think most could agree it's fair that they've made the changes they have. ninestories 17:40, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

Finales are borked.[edit]

The battle with the celestial charges and the resulting dialogue are on an endless loop with no charges appearing or any actors or kisu showing up. I'm in American English 20. It was working correctly 2-3 hours ago. Yumiko ^,~ 23:52, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

Only happened to that finale - bugs happen sometimes. Konig/talk 01:29, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
Haven't seen that happen and there are no reports from anyone in my guild (or my friends' guilds). I expect that ANet might try to fix such bugs (and not just let them happen) if people reported them and they were able to trace the root cause. At the moment, I don't think they've been given enough data to replicate the issue. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 03:16, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
What to do: AFK during an event but on nine rings area. After the presents and stuff are handed out wait a while and return to the monastery. You'll then get bombarded with looping text from the last celestial charge minigame and it will commence with no actors or npcs present but nothing else happens except the dialogue and the white mission text, "Collect the celestial charges...". It assumes you weren't present for it and repeats the event for you but doesn't do anything but loop the text.Yumiko ^,~ 05:54, 2 July 2012 (UTC)

Great stuff, event ends in the middle of an event. People running charges with the countdown when transported and event ends. BS

Emperor Kisu was still there, as well as NPC's, just no more decorations. Perhaps your district was buggyMystiLefemEle 08:25, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
Nine rings are still going but center ring, as a player in my ally reports, takes more tickets from you than usual instead of just 10. I am avoiding this bug and not sitting on what should be a removed nine rings by now. Yumiko ^,~ 14:52, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
Not having any problems with the Nine Rings right now. Seems completely normal except for the fact that the actual rings are missing. Cress Arvein User Cress Arvein sig.JPG 14:59, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
"Seems completely normal" except that they aren't visible? That seems the very definition of abnormal. ;-)
This happened during Canthan New Year as well because the game is programmed to end the decorations/quests at 11:59 Pacific Time, but the finale and nine-rings are programmed to continue. For some reason, ANet still hasn't addressed this. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:28, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
This was first documented in Dragon Festival 2010. --Silver Edge 03:59, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
