This was mentioned in Gaile News. Who are they? Sirocco 17:52, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

I'm going to hazard a guess and say they are the people mentioned here. --Santax (talk · contribs) 17:55, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
Ahh, that's awesome. Sirocco 21:25, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
If they are the guys in black armor in the trailer, i want their armor. -70.191.81.74 18:45, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
I imagine they are. Since it's been stated that you won't be able to get faction with the Charr, saying that they are the branch of the Ascalon Vanguard behind enemy lines is a fairly safe bet. --Santax (talk · contribs) 15:27, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Hooray! More Ascalonian action. Image:Esig2.jpg Eldin 16:02, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Check out the article on Old Mack. When you see him in the Shiverpeaks, he has armor that is very similar to that in the video, and there is a "V" on the chest! Mat Cauthorn 16:43, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

That's just standard Vanguard armour, though. --Valentein 07:33, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Valentein is correct. If I recall, several captains, namely Captain Osric and Captain Greywind wear it - and they are of Rurik's vanguard (as proven by them following him in the journey to Kryta). The article claims that they are trapped behind enemy lines. An old GW:EN article (explaining the status of things in each Prophecies kingdom) says that, whilst most of Ascalon's military remains defensive, groups of soldiers have been making encampments in the Charr territory, harassing supply lines, etc. Basically guerilla warfare. Are these those same soldiers? Seems likely. Image:Esig2.jpg Eldin 02:42, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
