Talk:Faction farm

From Guild Wars Wiki
Jump to navigationJump to search

The use of the words "elite" and "proficient" to describe the teams doing these runs are in conflict. Elite means "a group or class of persons enjoying superior intellectual or social or economic status," and variants of this. This does not describe a group of people who can kill bosses and monsters in hard mode quickly. I would rather use the later, "proficient", in place of elite, or another word/set of words such as efficient in its place. If there are no objections I will be changing this. I have no objections and a synonym of efficient or competent etc so you may go ahead with the change:)--Bane of Worlds 14:21, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Fame Farming[edit]

We have listed faction farming for the alliances and balthazar faction farming here, why not fame farming in HA? I realise fame isn't a faction but it's a similair concept. Perhaps an umbrella term could be used to describe the three of them on the same page with redirects for the term faction farming. As it is I believe it's fine but linking the three of them together somehow seems like a good idea as they are similair concepts. Maybe just a link to fame farming would be a good idea? this ones gud

Books?[edit]

Why no mention of filling books to turn in for faction points?

Probably due to the article predating the use of books, go ahead and add it in... 192.203.160.241 20:31, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
Because turning in books does not give faction points. 158.121.88.54 20:35, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
Ahh my ignorance is revealed in the light of your wisdom! Thanks :)

Cleanup[edit]

Basically I moved all of the information on FFF into the tables at the bottom & added a section as to why people do FFF. I like the idea of having an alleigance related color for the table header, but Kurzick colorings hide the [Hide]/[Show] tag on the far right hand side of the table. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 13:48, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

Kurzick color[edit]

i woud sugest changing the color of the Kurzick bar becose it is nearly impossible to see the hide/show butten Naloj 12:38, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

Basically that blue is as close to the kurzick color as I could find, and I know its a bugger with that color - I tried coding the link to be a different color. I know it is possible because on Wikipedia, they have templates with colored links. If anyone feels upto extracting the small line of text to make the color for [show]/[hide] change please do :) --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 14:47, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Specifically the edits this guy does: [1]--File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 14:50, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Pity we don't have the {{navbox}} template otherwise it would be:

{{Navbox | name = Navbox/doc | title = *** | titlestyle = color:white; | list1 = ... }} With the colored text coming from |titlestyle = color:white; OR |titlestyle="color:#FFFFFF" --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 15:06, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

Deep & Urgoz[edit]

The Deep and Urgoz should be added in for those that use these as speed clears. 24.51.181.74 06:27, 28 September 2015 (UTC)

I believe those two are not as fast as JQ/MQSC/MTSC for the sole purpose of getting faction, that's why it's not here.--Ruine User Ruine Eternelle Ruine Eternelle.jpg Eternelle 13:20, 28 September 2015 (UTC)
