Wow, pretty frickin awesome mechanic there. Now we can be like Jackie Chan! --onoes! Mafaraxas 03:10, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

This can be so sweet for drunkards. All tough they better introduce some cheaper ways of getting drunk. Biz 08:27, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

now i have a reason to get drunkard title :D, hope you get something like, for each rank you have on drunkard title, you do + X extra damage ShoGunTheOne 16:06, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

well being drunk does make you feel less pain :P --Tenshi Strife 16:09, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

More healing when you're drunk. I lol'd at that. I guess this skill is just one more reason to carry around stacks of spiked eggnog everywhere you go ;-) --Stormrunner 06:35, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
Anyone wants some ale?! :D ----InfestedHydralisk Shadow Prison.jpg 19:49, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
Id say something with level 3 potency to use right before the skill would be faster Biz 22:22, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
I won't be able to play with lvl5^^ rofl but this is an crazy pce-only idea. ales are not only for titles usable any longer xP Zerpha The Improver 17:59, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Can someone provide a source for this? This is the most ridicolous condition EVER. Drunkenness was intended to make people chat while they occasionally doubleclick in their inventory, not to make people split their attention between their inventory, a clock, and a live battle.

Hi mate. Since the July 17 game update, a small part of Gwen content has been pushed to our computers and is now stored inside the gw.dat file. This content is not directly visible in-game and won't be activated until 1 week but we can already see it by browsing directly inside gw.dat. The file format is described here and is approved by ArenaNet (see Gaile comments on the talk page). If you want to check for yourself inside gw.dat, you have to uncompress it using the above method and them look for a file whose uncompressed size is 55696 bytes (there should be only one with this size). anybody get the feeling anet are encouraging children to drink? 75.35.77.211 22:15, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

By your logic, anet's telling us all to have 8v8 gang wars in the streets. --onoes! Mafaraxas 03:49, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Lolzers, and Hall of Heros is slang for that alley behind the shopping center. I almost won there last time, but the opponents were all wearing heavy armor and had swords... I probably would have won too, if I hadn't focused on taking out their pet dogs first. They got all mad and attacked faster. -- Jioruji Derako.> 11:06, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Encourage Drunkard While Playing[edit]

It seems this is to encourage people to get drunkard WHILE playing the game by giving them a reward, which is awesome, instead of sitting around in town spamming alcohol. Dancing Gnome 04:52, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Its more of a way to balance the skill itself rather then force drunkards out of the closet, since it would be somewhat messy to keep up drunkard all the time, and quite expensive in the long run, skill can be good, whit out needing a change because of being "overpowered". alcohols drops during festivals, travellersgifts, z chest, Igot so many alcohols in inventory115.64.157.4 07:45, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

Good Skill[edit]

It's not an enchantment and can't be removed! Now mesmers can actually heal in PvE! (not as if they're useful for PvE but w/e). Bisurge 05:41, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

Cry of Pain, Ether Nightmare, Ineptitude, Clumsiness, Wandering Eye. --click moar Mafaraxas 19:32, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
I still don't think that's useful for PvE. Maybe boss hunting though. The thing is, I've found that most hexes do much before the warriors, sins, dervs, and eles kill it. 75.62.150.236 20:00, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
This skill is useful for nerly any class in PvE. Any melee characters with vampiric weapons can over-power the health degen for a very managable cost, no matter their norn rank. It can be used to lessen the sting of conditions and hexes (of which there are plenty in EotN). It certainly isn't a skill to build your bar on, or to rely on for healing, but its a fast, cheap, maintanable form of Mending, and it doesn't eat up your secondary profession or your mana regeneration. I'd consider taking vampiric daggers on my Assassin and using this skill to give her some constant healing. ~ A R A ~ 21:32, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
this would make a good replacement for mending on wammo builds :P Redninjakoopa 04:23, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

Buff[edit]

I just unlocked this skill--I'm at rank 6 norn, and it states +3 regen and +260 maximum health. Not sure how to look up the rest of the progression, but this skill needs to be updated. The Goron 06:46, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

I wish this was more like Defy Pain and less like Mending with Endure Pain stuffed in a beer bottle. Guildwarsrunner 09:49, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Trivia[edit]

Is there a reference for the source of this skill name? Feeling no pain, as far as I'm aware, is a long time reference to being relieved of pain (physical or mental) by the use of alcohol or other drugs. I find it hard to believe that ANet picked this because of the Recruit, especially given the skills use of the drunk mechanic to gain further benefit. BladeDVD 01:49, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Im sure they are a part of a conspiracy plot to get all GW players to become alcoholics because of balanced mechanic in few skills as in Using 400coins worth of consumable for a 1-2 durations of a skill to make it a hell lot more effective. But if your really thinking of alcohol as painkiller, If it didn't have side effects it would be a perfect one. Biz 08:21, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Yeah it was a ridiculous note. I removed it. -Auron 03:55, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
This skill reminds me of Trenchtown Rock; "one good thing about music, when it hits you you feel no pain." 99.242.113.98 18:59, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Update Needed, or is PvX wrong?[edit]

So I'm looking at this build [[1]] and it says +1-5 regen, with 100-200 gain. This says 2-3regen. i dont currently have the skill, so which one is right? 74.210.50.20 01:48, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

This one. PvX skill descriptions are always behind.--Underwood 01:50, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

It used to give 1-5, before pointless nerf of Feel No Pain. 5 health regen was very useful. Now the skill is practically useless unless going for drunkard, which is ultimate tedium in itself.

"Drunk" not needed for health bonus[edit]

Is it worth noting that level one intoxication is enough to satisfy the condition? Donnach 13:22, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

related skill[edit]

Would Mending be related, because of regen being 1..3..4 is close to 1..3? Scar Of The Lotus 23:11, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

No, because mending is a maintained enchantment spell, none of which can describe this skill. Both skills simply having health regen is not even close to being enough for them to be related skills. S F I R 04:16, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
