Gaah! I hate these things! D: Reiauna 21:57, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

I'm not much fond of them myself, especially as they only ever seem to pop up when I'm fighting something else. Has anyone else noticed this? Cynique 09:24, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

i think these are warrior/necro since they drop warrior tomes n dont have any soulreaping--Melon 14:03, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Seconded, this was confirmed while vanquishing Lornar's Pass -- Warnecfrostwurm.jpg

Saw one popping from the frozen lake, maybe a bug?

No idea but it happened to me too; was weird since you could see the "bottom" of it, or lack of one. It only goes a bit underground. It looked super weird/funny when it was sinking into the ice though.Moonstruck Muse 06:29, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
They probly have a warrior profetion for extra armor? mabey? --Neil2250 User Neil2250 sig icon5.jpg 23:15, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

Half Damage from Cold?[edit]

These, and all other wurms in Frostmaws Burrows seem to take half dmg from cold. This is based on the my observations of the AoE dmg created by Chilling Victory on my Derv. It's always half what the skill reads in its description.82.71.3.26 12:34, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

That would match them having +40 AR. The Guild Wars Wiki:Projects/Armor rating may be of interest. Backsword 12:38, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

KD[edit]

When this pops out of the ground, does the KD it inflicts exceed the baseline 3 seconds? 141.165.170.162 22:35, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

The baseline is 2 seconds. This might last a full 3 seconds though. –Jette 23:14, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

How many?[edit]

How many of these things usually appear when this encounter happens? I remember facing only one at time but a moment ago I was in Lornar's pass and 2 of 'em hit the ground at the same time. Barbe-Q Michael 08:47, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

Boss/Natural Resitance?[edit]

While doing a Vanquish in Lornar's Pass, i noticed that Wastrel's Worry ended on it recharge (while using it on the wurms). I normally see this when I use WW on bosses. WW will end on bosses after like 1 second. But on the wurms it ended after 1 second to, while they are no boss. Who can this be? --Mann Of Light 17:57, 9 August 2011 (UTC)

Some non-bosses have Natural Resistance. This is stated on the page. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 18:02, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) There are a number of "tough" creatures in Prophecies that have Natural Resistance despite not being bosses or boss-like foes. Wurms are one of them, perhaps due to their size and the thickness of their skin. I believe it's a thematic effect: they're supposed to be a pain to kill. But since WW is a dumb skill, it makes them easier to kill. Go figure. –Jette 18:04, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
