How do you measure aggressiveness.... Lanky 19:03, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Lanky

I'm guessing damage. If that's the case we might start to see more spike groups. ( I haven't GvG'd in awhile so I don't know what they are doing)--The Cyphero 19:08, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
If a paragon used Angelic Bond and a monk only used direct heals, that would not cause the loss of any aggression points right? - Phil 19:15, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

This killed my guild's tactic of balling in our base, spamming splinter weapon on the GL, and letting him farm the other team for us. GG, devs. Guess we were too strong for you. --76.25.197.215 19:19, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Isn't that exactly the kind of behaviour they want to stop though?- TheRave User TheRave sig.jpg (talk) 19:22, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
This just buffs other things such as solo damaging rangers, empathy and other bothersome hexes on the lord... just change wastrels worry >.>, also this whole aggressiveness is wierd how will it be measured, will casting 1 enchantment offset 100 damage we did to their lord or 200? or 5? "Our goal is to encourage active and tactically rich play in Guild Battles" uuuummmmmm, I went through a near religious phase of observing Guild Battles and they're all pretty samey, fighting over the flag, everyone using pretty much the same builds as the other team and then when one gets the upper hand piling towards the GL. Tactics are not something I have witnessed in Guild Battles, at least the ones on Observer Mode. Its hard to say we encourage this and that when the average players looks at the OM and sees every team pretty much doing the exact same thing with the exact same builds, I've even seen a match where people were running around with the exact same weapons. Though, I do have to say that Green Axe from CoF is seeing a lot of use. [shrugs] 118.92.205.189 20:03, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Just because you haven't observed tactics doesn't mean they aren't there. If this stops 28 min turtlespike then its a good update. Time will tell.--118.90.55.155 20:11, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Well, this update is admitting defeat of anet's ability to make offensive and tactical play work in this game. It feels like someone threw hands up in the air and said "screw this, let's just give the victory to the offensive team". Changes like this are like using duct tape to hold a house together, because the house is itself is crappy. Or in case of guildwars, crap class design, crap skill design, stupid 8 slot limit etc produce bad pvp that is impossible to balance, so now they abandoned balancing offensive and defensive abilities altogether and just arbitrarily give victory to the more offensive team.

Thank goodness, I was expecting an important update. A Concerned Citizen 20:38, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
