Perfect for Spirit's Strength rits, even with low rep. Xiao

This looks nice ----InfestedHydralisk Shadow Prison.jpg 14:14, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Badass. Armond 21:54, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
I hope this is a weapon spell so that it can benefit from Spawning Power. -- Gordon Ecker 23:10, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
omg...I never knew that weapon spells last longer cause of SP xD ----InfestedHydralisk Shadow Prison.jpg 23:15, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
It's a fairly recent buff. -- Gordon Ecker 07:34, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
ah ----InfestedHydralisk Shadow Prison.jpg 11:43, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
It is a weapon spell! Neat, a weapon spell available to every primary. Armond 14:14, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
Sorry Armond but this is unconfirmed as the skill type is not explicitly stated in Gw.dat. It might be an enchant or even a plain "skill" as well. I'm reverting the change. Chriskang 14:31, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
Most likely its a weapon spell as it says "target other ally's weapon"
Oh. I was just going off of what it said on the page. XD Armond 14:55, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Definitely sounds like it should be a weapon spell, but at the same time, there's also Great Dwarf Armor, so it's more likely just an untyped skill. I hope it is untyped, personally, being able to use this in combination with other weapon spells would be great. Especially if it can be attached to anyone, if it's spammable, having casters knock stuff down with wands would be awesome to see :D --Jette 21:29, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Anyone else not noticing a duration for this skill? o.0 Kite 01:43, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
...Oh sweet shit. Infinite duration? Moar overpowered please! Armond 02:38, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Maintained enchantment maybe? Chriskang 09:54, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Hmm... Steelfang Slash might actually get used now, if the % is high enough. if not, i can fufil my dream of having a kockdown wander! -172.164.17.165 08:16, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

If this is a weapon spell, frenzy wanding FTW! Spirit's Strength + this + IAS on a wand or anything is lethal.

Thank god this is not a target ally spell. At least we can hope it is not always present or else...*shudder* I dread to think of the consequences. An amazing skill, but not something I would choose to use (I don't like pve skills that don't fit into the spirit of GWs, as any easy knockdown doesn't imo) Coruskane 02:56, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Question[edit]

How are people extracting these skill icons? I have no idea how it's happening xD and if I could get my hands on that software I would love to do it myself too :P thanks in advance for any replys --Lou-SaydusUser Lou-Saydus Hail Storm.jpg 17:11, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

See my talk page. Chriskang 18:12, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Small question, and since I didn't see it literally mentioned on the general "Weapon Spell" page I'll ask here: I can cast this on my minions, tested, but does it actually work? I'll try testing further, but maybe someone has an answer already? 78.23.84.142 15:18, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

Progression[edit]

Bugged?[edit]

I was reading on the Ranger forums and this skill came up in the discussion. Someone mentioned that the +Damage aspect was broken, but the knockdowns still worked. This was in reference to applications on a Pet, but if anyone can confirm/deny/test this it'd be good news one way or the other. My Ranger isn't that far into EN yet and I'm taking my time, so I can't personally test. Testing it on a friend with a Candy Cane weapon might work well, have him/her watch the numbers. Then fling it on your pet and take a look at that damage. GammaRay 18:18, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Ooookay. Just did some tests with a guildmate who had Deldrimor Rank 3 and GDW. Knockdowns triggered while cast on my pet. However, I didn't see much, if any damage increase. I had him cast it on my Hearty White Moa @ 0 BM, and again @ 12BM. Neither time I saw anything remotely resembling a +13 damage increase on the 60 AL target. GammaRay 00:31, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Same result here with a guildy using the 5-5 daggers from the brawling tournament. The +damage part of this skill is clearly broken. Chriskang 13:38, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Glad to hear (sort of) that someone else is experiencing the same. A few others on one of the forums have brought this up in the Bugs section. Let's hope that some of these reports get note so this handy skill and have its proper power. GammaRay 22:35, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Did some testing with it, dmg is armor respecting and not as written in the description. Added a bug tag and a note about it. 134.130.183.235 19:41, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
I see. I wonder if that's intentional? I'm glad to hear it's not totally broken, at least. I suppose I'll favor Brutal Weapon after all, on my Rit. For now, at least. Thanks for the further testing. GammaRay 07:37, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
The armor respecting part might be, the wrong numbers in the skill description i guess not :o). And i never got Brutal Weapon to work, no enchantments is just to much of a drawback, without a prot monk you just do so much harder that it is not worth it IMHO. 134.130.183.235 08:30, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

This actually seems to work now, tested it with a pet. The damage is armor ignoring, too. Removed the bug tag and note. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:78.3.52.210 .

Confirmed. Chriskang 00:08, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Barrage Combo[edit]

B/P just became a whole lot more powerful and hillarious. Earthbind + Barrage + Great Dwarf Weapon = GG Mobs Dancing Gnome 02:25, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Omg, why didn't I think of barrage! /doh ----InfestedHydralisk Shadow Prison.jpg 13:02, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
I hate the "target other ally" part :\ 18 September 2007 (UTC)
2 human barragers will do the trick, just target your ally. Rhydeble 10:34, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Why not just have the Order's Necro bring it? They're already based on buffing the party. --Curse You 21:16, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
That's exactly what I do when I do it, Rangers think I'm amazing. --Ckal Ktak 19:21, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Omfgee overpowered ![edit]

I'm surprised nobody said this skill was just extraordinary. The only drawback is the "ally only" condition, besides the small recast can lead to KDs every seconds with 2 fighters in the group and a huge increase of the DO. Knowing the scarcity of KD skills in GW, and the general costs (elite, condition, much adrenaline), this is just the über gw:en normal skill.

It's a pve skill. The entire point of pve skills was to let bad players blow through hard areas by giving them overpowered shit. This is just one of the imbalanced skills offered to PvErs - unfortunately, most of them aren't good enough to run a utility midline, they just stock up on Searing Flames eles and try to nuke stuff. -Auron 03:10, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Anything wrong with that? =P Anyways, yeah, its over powered, +15 damage and about a quarter of a chance to KO at rank one. Hasaple 20:07, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Damn.[edit]

I get excited every time I see this skill untill I read the no-self target, then it's like. Fuck. Useless to me.- VanguardUser-VanguardAvatar.PNG 18:26, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

wellwell, you'll have to equip a hero with it ^^ - Y0_ich_halt User Y0 ich halt sig.png 19:39, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Too bad heroes doesn't like PvE only skills :P --MageUser MageMontu sig.pngMontu 19:53, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
...i haven't played for too long xD - Y0_ich_halt User Y0 ich halt sig.png 16:13, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
Ohnoes, you can't abuse GDW because you don't have a utility midline! -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png 19:56, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
I'm gonna test it on my pet. Hope it doesn't suck. (I hate pets)- VanguardUser-VanguardAvatar.PNG 16:31, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
I can see it now...a Pink Flamingo running around knocking mobs over. :P Considering there aren't any unconditional KD skills for pets, not a bad idea. On the other hand, it seems like you'd need a high Deldrimor rank for it to be worth the energy cost for a ranger to maintain. --User Tero Gein sig.jpgtero 16:50, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
This rules for a support rit who knows what he's doing. With a high Spawning power this lasts a while and can be maintained on several frontliners at a time, which is, pretty much epic destruction.--86.144.225.225 22:19, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

I run Jora and Hayda as 2 of my heros, this skill is a must for messing with hardmode healers. Used to not like it because I ran xinrae's Xandra but am glad i dumped that rit Justice 00:03, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Forgot to ask the question i had lol;

  • Is there any reason this would not stack with Stonefist on my Jora? Dont know how that bonus works with things like enchants and what not. Justice 00:04, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

If you use it on a warrior with stonefist, the KDs are all 3s duration

Quickening Zephyr fan says hello[edit]

Just an idea. Maintain GDW on your whole team (several barragers for AoE knockdown). Also Brambles is good to increase damage.
