[edit] Page Move
Page is norn rank/farming locations to match the other rank titles that have farming guides, the proposed move can be done but i would suggest updateing all farming locations (5 in total i think) MafooUK 16:02, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
- OK, I'll go mark them. Backsword 06:38, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Additional Shrines
I've seen conflicting thought on this- is it better to grab as many additional shrines as possible hoping to increase your hunt rank bonus asap, or should you wait until you're done for the extra points awarded? --Ari 12:28, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
- It is considred better to grab the additional Shrines after gaining 150 kills, even counting in the chance of getting rank ups
- in the best possible scenario (getting a rank up from a shrine as soon as you reach it) you get about 700 points in hard mode.
- if you wait till you hit 150 kills and go collect from 3 shrines (same number as best possible scenario) and get only points you get 750 points in hard mode.
- if you get unlucky and collect shrine bonuses and don't get rank ups you get about 300ish points
- the points start to rack up rapidly after about 250+ kills when most of your party will be at rank 3 or 4, and you can engadge bosses to get the full kill bonus.
- oh and statisically if you get hunt rampage, try to furfil it even if you have to ignore going to shrines, you will net gain more points (from the double)
- i could plot a graph of all the possible combinations, but generally you net gain more points by waiting to 150 kills before collecting (and on the olfstead map you can reach 4 shrines at aproximately 150 kills (excludeing starting shrine) and you can quickly get 2 more shrines in about 50 kills.
- don't forget this is my opinion not a gospal so if you feal you get more points by shrine grabbing as soon as you can, please do that, at some point i might do a statistical analasys, but to be honest to many factors, and can't really be bothered as my gut fealing does me well enough ----MafooUK 20:52, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Time
Anyone have a average run time for this NM and HM (saying you only do 250kills then bosses and then shrines) ----Turns To Despair Xx 10:15, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- NM took me and my other half about an hour and a half but we had breaks and interuptions (kids) so could probably do it faster. We also only took 2 real people and 6 heroes.

[edit] NM or HM
The guide seems to quote completing the run with approximately 400 kills and 3000-4000 points. however fails to mention if this is in normal or hard mode
- The rep gained for killing a boss (250+ kills gives 300 points) is consistent with NM, so I'd assume that the rest is for NM. Alaris 19:29, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah I realised it was definately NM after a stint both in NM & HM last night HM seems to be around 6000 - 8000 mark but not completed one HM run yet

[edit] Hunt Ramapage
I get 450 points per boss w/ or without Hunt Rampage (while having party r4) on HM. Is this a bug or intended? --Risus 19:54, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- Seems normal! In NM the first shrine bonus is 20, in HM it is 30.
[edit] NM/HM
Is it better to start farming in NM or HM? I mean, which one generates the most net Norn Rep points per second? (note, I have r4 & HM, I want to know if I should farm HM or NM)Crimmastermind 08:33, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
