Talk[edit]

-40 is double damage if your armor is 80 not the same for most wars and definitely not for 121 armor tanks. Biz 09:55, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

I was under the impression that wars had 80 armor. And if a particular one has more armor, he takes less damage... that's sort of self-explanatory. -Auron 10:05, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
From armor, if the base damage is 100, at 115 armor you would take 38.6dmg, and at 75 (-40) armor you would take 77.1, which is roughly twice as 38.6. If your armor is 45 you would take 129.7 damage, and under healing signet (5) you would take 259.4. I would think that even at 121 armor you would still take twice damage under healing signet, so the statement should be true.--Fighterdoken 09:38, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

It is double damage from sources that factor in armor, like being hit physically, and elementally. It doesn't double holy damage, or ripost(although you can't get hit by ripost with this activating). Frenzy on the other hand does double ripost damage.StatMan 04:42, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

The healing gained from this skill is a little bit too high and although it places you in minus forty armor, but still it's high enough to cancel out the affects of most life degeneration skills Guild_WarsGuild_WarsGuild_WarsGuild_WarsGuild_WarsGuild_WarsGuild_WarsGuild_WarsGuild_Warsand you can basically spam this skill.William Wallace 08:57, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Although it is effective against degeneration skills, it´s almost useless in any other sitiuation. Nearly every skill is inflicting more damage than HP are recovered, when this skill is activated and the activation time is two seconds, so you may be hit serveral times and suffer from much more damage than you can take.

In my opinion the healing amount is ok, but i´d prefer less healing and less armor malus, and/or less activation time. Come to think of it, the condition cracked armor could be a reason to rebuild this skill. Well^^, i hope so, but it shouldn´t be too strong, either.

Plus a warrior SPamming Healing Signet over and over just to out do the effects of degen, isnt attack and thus useless(might as well be dead).174.144.43.237 09:07, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

Buff Please[edit]

Reduce the healing by 20 for each rank, add "Removes 1 condition", to make it worth the trouble of the armor redux, and this skill will be nearly as useful as lions comfort Once Great King 21:20, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Lolwut? Let's say you have 10 Tactics and you say at each rank -20 healing (-200 at 10) but at 10 Tactics you have +122, so you will loose 78 health? Or you don't loose/gain health but only 1 condition removed. Roxas XIII 10:56, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
I think what they meant was that the amount healed at each rank should be reduced by 20 (ie: 10 tactics heals 102 instead of 122) and that they should add the 1 condition removal. Thats what I understood from the above request/comment. DD2146 15:45, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

fast casting+heal sig[edit]

when i run a fast cast domn mesmer i run with ~r11 tactics. bonetti's defense(great energy managment skill), protectors defense(great long lasting skill thats not a stance), and heal signet. Symbolic celerity works great on this bar too but isnt necessary unless your in pvp or something. i run ~r11 fast casting.--Justice 16:55, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Double Damage[edit]

Read Armor rating for more details about why you take double damage.

If you are too lazy, to sum it up for every 40 AL you take 50% less damage. So if you take away 40 AL you would take double damage. Let's say you have 40 armor. You would take double damage if you use Healing Signet, but if you have 80 armor, then it'd be as if you had 40 armor... you'd still take double damage, but you'd take less because you'd take half of what you would take with 0 armor.

Needs nerfed[edit]

Too many warriors use it 75.15.162.251 14:45, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

-40 armor means that if an elementalist decides to target a warrior who's casting Healing Signet, he/she could massacre that warrior in seconds.
Too many use it? We have a total of TWO heals. So, if a warrior wants to self heal, what are they suppose to use? We have 2 energy regen, or HALF that of every other class except paragon and ranger, and no attribute that causes energy gain or reduces cost of skills, like a paragon (for shouts, leadership) and a ranger (expertise). Warriors that self heal usually use this, lions comfort, or troll unguent, since they are all cheap and efficient. We could use some monk spells, but they are energy efficient, therfore self healing warriors have little choice in what to use. What you surely mean is that it is one of the BEST out of combat self heal skills. Other primaries will use this because it costs no energy, and 2 seconds isn't too long out of combat.StatMan 19:29, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

um dur too many warriors use it...its 1 of 2 direct heals in the warrior's skills. This one is free. Too many ele use Meteor Shower...NERF IT! yeah can u see i know what im talking about? lol--Justice 18:32, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Most warriors don't suck enough to use it, unless they are a GvG splitter, in which case they will MAYBE use it. Napalm Flame 17:34, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Finding the factions+NF skill trainers[edit]

I managed to make a paragon/warrior WITHOUT this skill, if anyone else wants to try this so they can find where its from, all i did was have the monk skills on my bar when i took warrior secondary. I would do it but I have healing signet unlocked >.< Invincible RogueUser Invincible Rogue siggyiggywiggy.gif 13:06, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Latest Buff[edit]

At level 0 tactics, Healing Signet now heals more than Orison of Healing at level 18 healing prayers. Is this really balanced? Loves to Sync 05:40, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

They increased the healing by a mere 20 points. That's hardly anything to complain about on a 2-second (+.75 aftercast), -40 armor penalty skill, in an attribute line that's pretty bad anyway. Orison is also one of the worst healing spell in the game. I'm more worried about Ether Feast tbh. Vili User talk:Vili 05:49, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
Last I checked, I couldn't cast healing signet on my friends, and it took 2 seconds. StatMan 13:54, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
maybe you're not supposed to take orison of healing on your warrior 86.173.16.118 10:27, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
I lol at Warriors using Orison of Healing. Then I Eviscerate them. Astralphoenix777 07:40, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Healing or Health Gained[edit]

So I was in RA with my warrior running a build with healing signet (was using SS on a Battle Rage bar); anyway, I was facing off another warrior who threw deep wound on me, he began casting Heal sig so i did as well, running 7 tactics caused me to "gain" a little over 100 hp, however I was healed for about 80 so either Healing signet is a healing effect rather than a health gain, making the description wrong, or deep wound affects health gain as well as healing. Anyone seen this as well, it seems be the same case with other -% healing such as lingering curse and its non-elite form as well. Weaponmaster 07:50, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

deep wound affects annything that heals you except life-stealing or regen. it even triggers on stuff like Vigorious spirit i think78.20.153.111 10:05, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Then the In game description is wrong since it says it affects healing and says nothing about deep wound lowering health gained. Plus there are a few notes here and there on this wiki that say that Gain ignores DW.Weaponmaster 03:44, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
Probably just me, but I always assumed from the name that it was a heal. Healing Signet...... Magua 12:59, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
Read the bug mentioned on the page, then go read Deep Wound. King Neoterikos 00:34, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Disrupting Shot[edit]

If hit by Disrupting Shot, is the +dmg that comes from interruption affected by the -40 armor? 72.222.217.198 00:10, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

+dmg from attack skills is armor ignoring, so no. 69.125.113.143 18:57, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Shattering Assault, on the other hand... Vili 点 User talk:Vili 19:47, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

-40 Armor[edit]

Does that affect you when your armor has less than 40 armor when you use it? Such as in Pre Searing when you have AR 25, when using Healing Signet will your AR be -15?--Wingsy 13:19, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

Hmm the Armor rating article doesn't show anything below 0 armour, gonna need to test this somehow, but wont need to be in pre because of things like shing jea and spamadan. Haru 14:00, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

When does it outheal the damage taken?[edit]

Was just thinking it would be nice to have some statistics on the use of this signet. Because it gives -40 armor whilst activating, you end up taking double dmg from sources that are affected by armour. So the question I'd like to know is... when will using this signet actually give u a net health gain? I'm struggling with my words a bit here so I realise that perhaps I'm not explaining myself very well. :S Combatter 18:58, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

You should only use this skill with some sort of blocking stance, otherwise it only results in a small health gain. While this doesn't negate damage from other sources (i.e. eles) you can always use 'Watch Yourself' or 'Save Yourself' to take the sting off -40 armor. It's better used in a farming build than general PvE where you can rely on a backline healer. Personally if you need a self-heal Lion's Comfort is superior. 99.246.21.170 21:48, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

What would happen...[edit]

If you used this with kinetic armor? Would the armor cap from one skill be ignored, like you use signet of healing but kinetic still brings your armor rating back up to normal + some more armor? R U Who U Want To B 05:02, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

I doubt they will shut off the armor cap just because you are using something that reduces your armor. It would be nice to have some dynamic average armor display in-game though, just so we know for sure on things though. Guildwarsrunner 17:00, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
