HOM Monument of fellowship[edit]

i think it would be useful to add a gallery of the heroes in there statue form.

I think you can find what you are looking for in the Fellowship article. - anja talk 00:06, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

you can but its not complete i have Koss, Master of whispers, and General Morgan. i can take a screen of them if some one whants to edit it and put it up.

Replace the goren and pyre screenshots[edit]

Someone should replace their armor shots so they fit in with the rest of the heroes(probably the one who put in the rest of them). --SkyHiRider 16:21, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Upgrade Path[edit]

Do you have to upgrade each hero in steps? For instance, when upgrading Koss do I have to first provide him with Stolen before I can use Primeval? -- Sabardeyn 16:42, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

No, each armor is a stand-alone upgrade. So you can add them independently of each other. - anja talk 19:56, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

How do you revert to the original Armor?[edit]

I don't see a way to go back. Some of these look good, but I'd rather have the original. How can you change between hero armors?

Just talk to an hero armor crafter. – User Barinthus Magical Compass.png Barinthus 07:14, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
So can you freely change between armors that that hero has previously worn? ie by exchanging for new armor, you can freely change between all upgraded armor for him/her? Chibot2000 19:31, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

Estethics[edit]

Is it just me, or does the designers seem to spend more time the hero armours they make than our armours? I mean, most of our new armours are just dull reskins :/ -- Verhaze User Verhaze V Sig.gif 20:13, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Dunno; maybe makeing undyable unchangeable all-one-piece armor where they don't have to worry about mix and match and so forth takes a lot less time then designing a whole bunch of seperate parts that work together and with other things and all. *shrug* --Star Weaver 21:25, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Oh come on, it's not that much harder to make armour for us. Setting colour for dyes can be done in a matter of minutes, and let's face it, most armours doesn't mix and match at all. Hell, a lot of the armours even clip with themselves. I just hope they put more devotion in GW2, because I know they have one hell of a great art team. When they use it :( -- Verhaze User Verhaze V Sig.gif 15:50, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
(i know im a little late :P) It is obvious they put more effort into the hero armor, as some of the nightfall hero/henchmen armor are just reskins of player armor except with MUCH cooler details (look at the dervish hero in NF, who has a reskin of elite sunspear dervish armor) I wish they put this much effort into player armor...I'd buy the hero armors in a heartbeat 76.21.6.200 04:21, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

Question Regarding this Sentence:[edit]

"Upon trading in the appropriate item, the hero will receive a full set of the upgraded armor. All runes and inscriptions will be retained."

Doe's the article actually mean "All runes and --insignias--..." and not inscriptions?

Yes it means insignias. I wish we could have blank sets of armor for them if we choose though. That way rather than wasting a salvage kit use to swap around runes/insigs for different builds, I could simply swap all the armor and be ready to rock and roll! Summary of acquisition methods[edit]

  • Each hero has two sources of armor upgrades, except for M.O.X. (who has none).
    • EotN heroes can use Deldrimor Armor Remnants (from Duncan's chest in Slaver's Exile or Cloth of the Brotherhood (from Glint's Challenge).
    • Any Nightfall hero can use Primeval Armor Remnants (from defeating Mallyx); the second possibility depends on when the hero can be acquired:
      • early heroes can use Stolen Sunspear Armor (from Dajkah Inlet),
      • mid-game heroes can take Ancient Armor Remnants (from Remains of Sahlahja)
      • late-game heroes have the option of using Mysterious Armor Pieces (from The Shadow Nexus)

I am more interested in seeing how each hero can upgrade, since that helps me to determine where I need to farm to complete the HoM. Since this duplicates the data in the current table, I wasn't sure if the presentation was useful enough to go into the article.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 18:10, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

Runes[edit]

When upgrading standard hero armor to 'elite'hero armor, do the runes of the standard armorpiece transfer to the elite one or do you need to rerune all the pieces? If anyone hasn't tested this yet, i'll test it somewhere this week.

Da Pink Slayer 22:45, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

The runes stay the same for your heroes; your plans are not ruined by upgrading.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 02:10, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

Switching Armor[edit]

Shouldn't it be noted that once you've unlocked the sets you can switch between them freely(while retaining everything) by talking to either crafter for that hero?--Bluespider 06:10, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Yes. Could you add such a note, please?  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 07:25, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Gallery[edit]

I suggest we make the gallery layout more like that of this page for easier armor comparison. -- User Kirbman sig.png Kirbman 16:40, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

I tried it out, if you love it or hate it please say so here. -- User Kirbman sig.png Kirbman 06:34, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
Nice job! -- Hong 09:53, 21 November 2011 (UTC)

Hero Armor Upgrade[edit]

Do the upgraded hero armor sets have any benefits over the starter/originol (other than looks)? --174.57.149.196 01:07, 3 April 2012 (UTC)Recon Legend

No, none at all. (In GW, all max armor works the same...and hero armor is always max for its level.) – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 02:54, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

Price?[edit]

Hi, can anyone tell me what are current prices for all the armor? I know brotherhood costs around 5k. Whenever I ask for a PC nobody answers me, so i'm forced to write here :/ mink44 20:17, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
