Always wondered why this wasn't a mantra, thanks! — Skuld 21:01, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Why not put as similar skills the elite Mirror of Ice? Both has the same function but different targets.--ShadowFog 12:07, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Changes[edit]

Now that this is a skill, it wont get in the way of the Mantra skills and of Physical Resistance and Elemental Resistance skills. Since with just 2 pts, it can go to 25 seconds, maybe use it with another profession?--ShadowFog 23:25, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

warriors and monks imo --Life Infusion «T» 04:06, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
just remember that you'll have the .75 seconds aftercast delay, and you'll stop moving/using a skill when you use this now. But being able to stack this with another stance is still pwnsauce. Silavor UserSilavorSigIcon.png 13:21, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Still activates instantly and can be used while using a spell. No aftercast or movement stops (Sort of like Rampage As one)--Zarfol 16:16, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Reguarding "Despite being a non-stance skill, it can be used while casting spells as if it was a stance", Zero second activation time skills acts like shout and stance in that you can cast them anytime, even when knocked down. It is not an anomaly. 142.46.198.250 22:03, 8 February 2008 (UTC) Robock

Several other instant activation skills are unusable while casting other skills. It is worth noting IMO 71.31.153.138 01:32, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Those skills are the exception. Most instant activation skills work like stances.

reaction with shadow prison?[edit]

if this is used as a defense against shadow prison, will the shadow step still work? or does the spell just fizz out? ~ 69.152.136.238 19:49, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

The shadow step still occurs. The target just isn't hexed. --ILLUSiVE 23:04, 9 February 2008 (UTC) (forgot to sign >-<)

Same for all hexes, and just a note for other people who were wondering, the hex isn't instantly removed, it's just never applied (exp. shatterstone will only hit once).Barkingllama 01:27, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Nerfed[edit]

Dead for most secondary Me's now, I do believe. 76.89.81.150 23:06, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Only need 3 ranks in this to last more than its duration which isnt hard to do--74.61.209.219 23:14, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Not hard, but a major pain to be reapplying every 15 seconds. 76.89.81.150 23:55, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

O M G...such a stupid nerf. seriously all u have to do is put those last 6 points into it (r3) and u still can maintain it. Nothing changed...while there on such a rampage maybe they could make skull crack a tactics skill and make it scale 0-5 daze duration...--Justice 02:00, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Lmfao! Justice don't give them any ideas <.< They might actually do that...

Trivia[edit]

That first thing, is that really so Triva-ish? I don't really think so myself. Remove? Dark Morphon(contribs) 10:20, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

Seems like Trivia to me... =S Trivia is more than just movie and game references, you know. 72.81.247.139 04:59, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Nah, leave the trivia, it may not motivate your life or change at all knowing that fact, but at least you know one more fact...back to breakfast(joke).--ShadowFog 13:54, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Damage application[edit]

Whenever a hex is casted on me while I'm under the effects of this, the hex fails like normal, but it looks like I'm the one taking the damage instead of the enemy....is this intentional, or am I missing something? --User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 23:37, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

AoE hexs[edit]

Since the hex does not fail, what happens with suffering? does everone else get hexed? or does it just not apply to any targets? Do AoE hexs splash onto u still, since they don't Target u?

if you have this on and someone casts suffering on you, the hex fails. if you are next to someone who is the target of suffering and they have hexbreaker on, you will not suffer the hex. if you are next to someone without this on, and someone casts suffering on them, you will suffer from the hex, regardless if you have hex breaker on or not. basically if it fails on whoever the target was nothing happens to anyone. If your not the one being targeted then all that matters is if your teamate has this on or not. Roflmaomgz 00:04, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
Actually, in the first case, everyone but you is affected. User Raine R.gif is for Raine, etc. 02:51, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

I'm not getting results i expected from this stance[edit]

I put approximately 30 seconds worth of mesmer pts. into this stance, (secondary mesmer/ ranger primary) - I see hex breaker on my screen/ my stance is up: Why then do I suddenly have 3 hexes acrosses the top of my screen? - - when there is no one around except a necromancer or mesmer on top of the wall above me in Ft. Aspenwood?

I double checked, and even activated the stance after my speed enhance skill was used up - making hex breaker the only stance on me.

It made no noise/ I didn't hear anything/ like a denied hex sound - and my bar get 2-3 hex's on it even just a few moments (5-10 seconds) after I move into this stance.

I must be misunderstanding this skill - cos' I'm having no joy with this stance at all -- all i do is get hex after hex after hex while in this stance. Usually it's 2-4 things at the top of my bar (either hex's) or non-hex/but produce negative impact on the top of my screen.

Since there is no one in melee range, I can't see how my stance is being stripped-- so what is going on? I'm feeling frustrated because I don't understand.

Thank you cecil 20:27, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

Hex Breaker only blocks the (single) next hex cast against you, so when you see 3 appear, somebody apparently cast 4 on you. After one hex blocked the stance ends, I'm afraid. Twam Valandil 94.209.65.245 20:31, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
That makes sense to me now - ty for the kind reply :) cecil 12:27, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
