This is listed under Condition Removal, should be removed from that list. 72.209.41.202 18:45, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

bug or description wrong?[edit]

in earlier versions of hypochondria it was stated that using it removes all conditions from the other enemies. so it draws all conditions from enemies in area-range of target and transfers it to the target. this is still how the skill works. the description atm doesnt say anything about conditionremoval, but it certainly does. because of this the skill is defenitly too weak. if it would work as like the description says, it would be fine.

Theres a lot of skills in this wiki that it's function are not the same as it's description but it's stated in it's note and not reported. Be bold and report this things to the bug section or use the report(support) NC in its website. Cursed Angel has posted as a bug(good catch by the way).--ShadowFog 00:33, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
Not that anyone cares, but this is no case of misleading skill-description or bugged functionality. The fact that it removes the conditions from their previous 'victims' is clear from the wording of the skill description. After all, the word 'transfer' actually means taking them from somewhere, and putting them somewhere else. As in, moving them. Not copying them. Kay - 08:30, 4 May 2011 (UTC)

Possible Synergy with Fragility?[edit]

Hello, new user here. I was just wondering whether this added "bug" effect of removing conditions from all foes in the area should be taken into account now that Fragility has been buffed? I mean it has the same synergy with it as Crystal Wave - it can remove conditions (perhaps previously spread with Fevered Dreams) in a wider area thus triggering Fragility. For example let's say we have targets A,B and C. A and B are adjacent while C is in "near" range. Cast Fragility + 6 conditions + Epidemic on A => A & B both get damaged. Now cast Fragility, Fevered Dreams and Hypochondria on C. Target C gets damaged from getting 6 conditions with fragility, targets A & B take damage from conditions ending (hypochondria) and then from their reapplication (Fevered dreams). Now cast hypochondria again on A (perhaps echoed?) and you get my point...--Nefeli of Mirrors 08:56, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Even if this is pretty late, yes there is some synergy, problem is, the dmg from Fragility is rather weak and aside from some funbuilds not really worth it. I get your point and believe me i played some times with similiar builds but it's not worth the work you have with the build. Lou Wolfskin 03:00, 20 September 2009 (UTC)

If the skill "added" existing conditions to said target and didn't transfer (or remove) any conditions, this skill might be worth the usage. As it stands though, it's absolutely worthless. --Ulterion 05:55, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Trivia rewrite[edit]

The current phrasing is inaccurate. Individuals with hypochondriasis commonly already believe they have one or more serious ailments, often through an incorrect understanding of the actual ailment, and/or an inaccurate perception of their own physical or mental state (seeing 'normal' physiological processes as symptoms of the disease, etc.). Furthermore, DSM diagnoses are labels that describe general patterns of behavior, not descriptions of agencies that cause those behaviors. Indeed, at least as of the DSM-IV, an individual can express nearly identical behaviors as another individual, yet not receive a diagnosis purely due to the absence of marked, clinically significant impairment and/or distress. Possible related skill[edit]

Epidemic is basically the opposite effect. Isn't it supposed to be at related skills ? I would have put it myself if I hadn't noticed that this skill misses from Epidemic article. Respectfully Magnum 14:45, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

I'd say Martyr is closer to this skill, sure the range is higher and you use it on yourself to get conditions of your teammates but technically it is the same thing. Lou Wolfskin 09:01, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

Synergy with Fevered Dreams[edit]

Late to the party but am I the only one who finds this AMAZING when used with Fevered Dreams? Just make sure you cast Fevered Dreams on someone without conditions, then follow it up with Hypochondria. All the conditions get removed, placed on the Fevered Dreams target and then pulses back out to re-infect everyone in the area. Fragility helps as well. Thomasuwoo 13:22, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
