Incomplete Ice floe information[edit]

Well, since nobody said i did anything wrong with puttng these information up in the talk page or critiqued it in any way, I'll just keep doing it... remember, these are incomplete and stuff for whomever to put it up.

  • I vanquished Ice floe with 215 Foes(No quests). 1075 exp 645 gold was the reward.
  • Bosses I came across
    • WarriorJade Armor- I believe he uses Devastating Hammer as the elite.
    • RangerJade Bow - Oath Shot
    • MesmerGambol Headrainer -Energy Drain
    • MesmerMursaat Mesmer -Energy Surge
    • ElementalistMursaat Elementalist - Thunderclap
    • Elementalist Skitt Skizzle - Mind Freeze
  • Non Bosses I came across

One thing's for sure, I did not come across any Azure Shadow at all like we expected. There was one collector in the middle of the map, but i totally forgot to take a screen shot.--Zemmy 00:39, 7 May 2007 (EDT)

Bosses Missing[edit]

I coundn't find the bottom two boss spawns in the locations specified on the map Primeval Sentinel User Primeval Sentinel user icon.jpg Talk 07:26, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

I experienced the same. Noctarch 23:21, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

White Mantle-they don't seem to spawn here![edit]

I've done Ice Floe HM today and never seen any of the White Mantle.Am I the only one who didin't see em in this area? --Monolito 17:23, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

I have never seen any White Mantle in Ice Floe, NM or HM, and I have vanquished this area too. – josəph 16:17, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Maybe, someone should clear the article since the Mantles don't spawn at all? --Monolito 09:23, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
They do spawn. User Noctarch Mantle Ice Floe.jpg Noctarch 23:21, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
They spawn pretty inconsistently. First time I ever came here, I ventured out from Thunderhead Keep in HM and was swarmed by a group of 25+foes (Frostbite, White Mantle, Mursaat, Jade and some ice imps). I rezoned and when I went there the second time (again in HM) there were no White Mantle anywhere near the starting spot (I then proceded to vanq half the area and found no White Mantle)Crimmastermind 07:49, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
Odd. I have seen them the majority of the time I am here (least a few dozen times). Vanquished it (219 kills) and thought it unusual for them not to spawn. Kelvin Greyheart 19:12, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
This is simply another example of Prophecies inconsistant spawns. I've been running the Southern Shiverpeaks on a regular basis for over 8 months now and I still see a new spawn every once in a while. The spawns are extremely random and are probably intentionally designed that way. Blood Red Giant 04:04, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
I tried to vanquish this area 2x and both times I got that huge mob with ~25 foes (all murssat). I just thought that was the normal spawn, and kept trying to kill them off slowly, with no luck. This is the mob that starts near Thunderhead Keep and moves towards the Grotto. I have 53 of 54 areas vanquished, so if this is not the normal spawn, I will go back in and try one more time. These random spawns are really bad for HM vanquishing.ChoKILLate

Frostbite[edit]

Just wanna tell to all vanquishers to be aware of Frostbite boss and its gang. My team was ambushed and spiked to death with SoJs. 202.152.84.3 04:17, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Vanquishing[edit]

Just thought I'd post this because it will definitely help anyone trying to vanquish this area. Ice Floe is filled with massive energy drain, strong physical attackers and mass interrupts, so caster teams are quite ineffective. Adrenaline based attackers are better and backbreaker heroes are very useful for shutting down mursaat.Anti-Melee is also useful for handling the Jade armors.--Shai Halud 18:27, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

Your biggest threat is casters. Trouble with the jade armor/bows? Weakness. A devoted interupt hero makes this area quite enjoyable and i was able to vanq it in 1hr 5min. Cry Of Frustration / Tease go along way. Justice 08:13, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
Vanquished today; 59 min. Had a full caster team without a dedicated healer (only some hybrids). If you bring 2 mesmer heroes (panic, PI), area is a laugh. The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:84.31.235.30 (talk). 11:48, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
This area was hard with casters before the Mesmer buffs, and mesmers do clean up here, though some melee groups can prove problematic. I had a near wipe on a group with 1 monk, 2 mesmers, 1 bow, and 3 hammer because they didn't bunch tightly enough for either Panic or Psychic Instability (which is what parent meant by PI, not the player PvE skill Pain Inverter as most non-mesmers would think it meant). You also need to micro to effectively use Panic and Psychic in the same group - most people advise against it and prefer Ineptitude spammers as the other Mesmer in multi-mesmer groups. That was the only hard group though - steamrolled the rest --Falseprophet 01:41, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
54mins, 198 Foes. I did encounter White Mantle. Dual Panic Mesmers - OQRCAswzoLPXVzB0geQTgnC, 3 x SF Eles and 3 x Discord made it quite easy Captainofithilien 12:49, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
34min, 209 foes. Easy run-through kinda vanquish. Just don't let the Mursaat group up or pull too many imps at once. 68.204.222.7 23:53, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

Mursaat "(4/6)"[edit]

The western mursaat spawns were missing entirely for me today, I had some groups of White mantle roving about instead (accompanied by Jade bows), and just regular foes in the spawn area. -Chieftain Alex 17:44, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
