Why the beware note?[edit]

Why must we beware of scams with this item? It cannot be traded 182.239.230.236 08:32, 10 February 2012 (UTC)

I think it's a standard note added to any non-weapon item that shares a skin. But I can also imagine people not realising they can't be traded (all the main campains end-game items can be) and asking to buy one, probably for far more than a sapphire is worth, which opens them up to scammers. I'd hope everyone would read the name of whatever they're buying, no matter what it is, but it wouldn't suprise me if some people would glance at the picture on the wiki and the picture in the trade window and click accept without thinking. 109.150.170.157 10:03, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
A typical substitution scam is to show the item, offer an explanation as to how the non-tradeable can be traded, and then swap at the last minute. I don't think this is very likely to happen, but if it does, it's most likely to happen in the first 2-3 weeks after the introduction of the new item. It does little harm to include the note for a bit (and if it saves one person some grief, then it was worth it). – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 10:15, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
Didn't think about it like that. Completely agree now. :) 182.239.230.236 10:39, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
It can't be traded? That's odd. Ramei Arashi 13:56, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
You can't trade medal of honor, so why is it odd? o.o Kougajin 15:21, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
The medals had the hover text that it couldn't be traded, this doesn't have any hover text but the same applies. File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 21:46, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
Plus other unique tokens that you get for finishing a campaign are all tradeable. I guess the MoH's arent tradeable becaue you need multiple to get the item, plus you can always get more by completing WiK quests. 198.169.14.218 00:40, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
If an item is non-tradable it doesn't let you display it in the trade window so this swapping trick you mentioned doesn't work anyway. 178.78.104.85 23:16, 11 February 2012 (UTC)

Seriously?!?![edit]

1. Why on earth did they make these untradeable??? With the exception of Medals of Honor(which require 10 to be exchanged for a weapon) all other end game trophies are tradeable to other players.

2. Why couldn't the Imperial Dragon greens have different skins than the gold Imperial weapons available from Shen Xi?

The end result... I now have an end game item that isn't easy to sell and that I don't like what it's redeemable for. UGH! Rather short-sighted IMO. 99.72.195.220 03:13, 11 February 2012 (UTC)

Give it 1 or 2 years, and Anet is 99% likely to make these tradeable based on previous amendments to trade restrictions. --Falconeye 03:30, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
How many people do you really think are going to be playing GW1 in one or two years?--71.185.41.90 04:13, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
It took them 2.5 years to unrestrict Zaishen Coins core reward trophies; now those same coins are averaging 150%-200% of their base-value due to in-game inflation. --Falconeye 04:35, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
Quite a few, I think; especially those who are attracted to the single-player, party-based aspect. There's nothing else quite like that around. -- Hong 05:01, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 are single player party based (I'm sure there are more games)... and yeah, single player party play is fun^^

Endgame reward for WoC but not WiK?[edit]

Update Dragon's Tear reward[edit]

As I see, I'm not the only one to find reward ridiculous ^^ WiK have great weapon, so I won't cry because there's no useless endgame green. No problem as well with the fact that it's untradable. But people are right, same ugly skin than the gold version and not even customizable, is really a shame. An update to do something usefull with dragon tears would be nice (even being able to exchange them for one or more Imperial Guard lockbox)... --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 109.129.79.143 (talk • contribs) at 15:41, 10 March 2012 (UTC).

Agreed. These weren't very easy to come by. Unfortunately, the reward lacks the appropriate propinquity. Not a bad idea to allow trade, sale, and exchange options. 69.140.14.244 21:59, 31 December 2012 (UTC)Rok Mon
