Looks NICE!-- Shewmake 19:27, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Anet is sappin' mah update. Looks great though.

I prefer the old one, but this one is defenitely in my Top 3 (and that's saying something!) 145.94.74.23 20:04, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
do want! : O --Vital Spark 20:19, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
Epic mask, best thing since I missed the first year of the Dragon Festival.Patterson 20:51, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Better than the demon and grasping mask, and I would put it above the first dragon mask, hands down. It is more graphically appealing and sophisticated than the original. Well done Anet! Oyoto 21:31, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

I still prefer the original Dragon Mask, it was classic! I still really like this one though. Best mask in a while. --User Master Fast sig-icon.pngShinigami King 19:48, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Dragon Mask[edit]

Awesome. Be interesting to see how it looks in-game. The Lion Mask will be tough to beat. --Tong2 21:43, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Deffinently aswome. I missed out on the first dragon mask as I did not have GW yet and have always wanted one, and this one just looks cool. Can't wait to get it :)--124.185.184.155 01:50, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Looks[edit]

is it just me or does the mask look strangely like a mix between the lion mask and the dragon mask? --Azreal of SkyrimUser Azreal of skyrim signature.jpg 06:40, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Kind of does a bit, but looks better than either of those masks --124.185.184.155 09:59, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

looks a bit like a dragon mask after it ate too many Crème Brûlée's Chaos Beserker 11:46, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
The dragon mask looked CRAY-ZEE, so this must the the "i can haz cheesburgr?" version of it. Paddymew 15:59, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Note[edit]

I know you are official and all but you have some info wrong 76.123.149.130 10:28, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

All info on the page seems to be accurate. Could you please point out which information you're talking about? Thanks! Magic User Magic Icon.jpg Talk 10:30, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
I would also like to know what you consider wrong. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 10:32, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

CRAP[edit]

They have truly lost their minds. This is the ugliest mask ive seen yet. 71.71.242.114 16:22, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

/agree -- Halogod35 User Halogod35 Sig.jpg 17:50, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
"It looks like the bastard child of the Dragon Mask and Lion Mask..." "It tastes like one too." "Then it must be one." --User Ezekial Riddle bigsig.pngRiddle 18:07, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
The worst part is that you need a stack of tokens to get it and the quests only give you 240. The missions arent worth doing since they are too hard for the 4 person party. If I wanted to go through that much trouble I would vanquish the ascalon area again. 71.71.242.114 18:35, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
I wish they'd just like... stay with the first masks every year. -- Halogod35 User Halogod35 Sig.jpg 18:44, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
:O .. I <3 it! Magic User Magic Icon.jpg Talk 18:48, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
I agree in a way. I wish they would fix whats broken instead of come up with new stuff. XTH for example. User DrogoBoffin sig icon.png DrogoBoffin 20:16, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure that the people responsible for fixing stuff like the XTH are completely different from those that design/create the masks for holiday events. --KOKUOU 20:21, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
Resources are resources no matter where you spend them they are the same. User DrogoBoffin sig icon.png DrogoBoffin 20:26, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
Imperial Dragon Mask.png This user thinks the Imperial Dragon Mask looks stupid and got 25 firewater instead

in case u wanted to use it --adrin User adrin ecto sig.png 20:27, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

(Edit conflict) Not true. It's highly likely that an artist working on art and a modeler working on a model, both for a holiday mask, would have insufficient knowledge and/or the experience in the coding required to fix a problem such as the XTH. Would you send in a nurse to do a heart transplant simply because the rest of the doctors were busy? --KOKUOU 20:33, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

No, but you could fire useless people and hire useful people that can make this game better and bring something cooler to the game. Anet have always said how many resources it costs for them to edit/create new armor/masks, so why not put resources in something that gives more attention to the majority of the community. Sure, these masks look nice, but what do they do? Used in towns for about a week max, then go to Ludor [Festival Hats] with your other 20+ hats. Masks were a good idea to begin with, but would be a better idea to discontinue and put their staff to better use. --58.7.161.194 11:32, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

You could fix the XTH yourself. Either that or be happy with what ANet are doing to help. Paddymew 11:37, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Are male/female mask pictures really necessary?[edit]

From what I've seen they are the same damn thing. no need for pictures for male and female if they are exactly the same. 24.233.254.51 19:09, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Even if it only shows that they're the same, it has a purpose. Someone could be wondering whether there's a difference, this tells them there's not. --Alex User AlexEternal Mr Bear.jpgEternal 19:11, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
Pictures take up space, and make the page use more memory. It'd be better to have a little note "The male and female versions of the mask are the same" or something similar 24.233.254.51 19:17, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
The male one seems to be larger than the female one. Anyway, it was to follow the pattern of the Grasping Mask page. Nevertheless, if it really bothers, we can delete the male or the female version, but I think we should then retouch the Grasping Mask page as it also takes up space... PatouPower
The reason for the male and female pics of the grasping mask is because they have different models. The male mask is circular, while the female mask is more elliptical. I don't see a difference in model between the male and female versions of this mask, so I would think that we should follow the format of the rest of the hats, like the Lion Mask or the Yule Cap. Silavor UserSilavorSigIcon.png 21:07, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
Either A.) Delete all the male/female pics unless they ARE different, or B.) Go and edit the ones that DON'T have a male/female pic and put one in there. For continuity or whatever. 24.233.254.51 05:32, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
I think personally we need to add one for male and female regardless of the differences. We've done this for every ele crest/aura and they are identical regardless of gender. Thus for continuities sake i think we should add the other pics. -- Salome User salome sig2.png 00:28, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

I really like this mask[edit]

I think anet did a great job with this mask, and those of you complaining just need something to complain about. Upa Arcangel --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:63.224.218.155 (talk).

Yeah, exactly... Personally, I have not bought it because I have some titles to finish, but it looks very good (at least better than the last year one). Everyone have their preferences but it's not a raison to complain about what they don't like... PatouPower
You dont buy it. You do quests and get tokens once you have a stack you just stand in town and listen to the emperor. User DrogoBoffin sig icon.png DrogoBoffin 21:06, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
Well, yes, in a sense, you buy it. A stack of 250 tokens worth around 8k (I bought them all week-end) because you can buy various party items with that (a party item worth like 170g normally). So if you spend these 250 tokens to take a beautiful, yes, but useless mask, it's like if it cost you 8k, even if you are not a titles hunter... PatouPower
This mask is awesome. I don't understand how some people don't like it. Honestly, if you don't like it, don't complain. These masks are optional. Although, this one is amazing, in my opinion. Pony Slaystation X 03:15, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
Yeah that makes sense, if you don't like something you should remain silent about it. Listen fanboy, unless you let developers know what you like/don't like they aren't going to have a clue. They aren't mind readers. So if you don't like something, then DO complain about it. The ones that do like it can always say they do. That is how the whole process of feedback works, 76.123.149.130 03:58, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
Then you go complain directly to ArenaNet? Seriously, I don't think that talking with a "crap language" and saying that the mask is the "worst ever made" will convince ArenaNet to do something... If you want something, you simply tell ArenaNet that you don't like it and you'd prefer a more original mask for the next year, that's it... Complaining using an agressive language will change nothing, so it's why I said it was useless. PatouPower

People will always complain. And Anet cannot please everyone, but a lot of people like this mask, which most likely outweighs those that don't. And I for one like this mask. --124.185.184.155 00:08, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

I just got it because I'm trying to collect festival stuff, since I miss them every now and then. But for this? I think it's very artistically designed. They did a good job with it.-- User Vanguard VanguardLogo.pnganguard 01:13, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

It's actually a very simple thing here: ANet does something that pleases a lot of players, and the rest feel bad and angry. Because they lost something? No, because ANet made something that they choose not to use. Seriously, they even gave us pictures of the mask a week before releasing it. If you don't like masks in general, buy some other stuff. Personally, I'm not a hardcore PvP'er, but I don't get all frenzied and mad at ANet just because they support those who dedicate themselves to PvP. Paddymew 18:27, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

You should, their constantly ruining skills for PvE because of over use in PvP, instead of creating a seperate PvP skill. PvE is the core not PvP. Ramei Arashi 12:05, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
Like Shadowform? Oh wait nvm. Paddymew 14:15, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

i hate some people[edit]

missed out on this cause my account was locked down cause of a hacker....now i have to make do with the sinister one - i have the worst luck -.- Getefix 11:14, 20 February 2011 (UTC)

Not a costume item?[edit]

Shouldn't there be a note as to how it takes up the player's armor headgear slot rather than being worn in the costume headgear space? I'm pretty sure this is a bug, since the other dragon masks and other masks have been retroactively coded to the costume slot. 66.68.92.5 18:00, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

I think only hats that existed prior to the introduction of costumes take up the armor head slot. If you get one from the Festival hat guy, it will go into the costume head slot. In fact, the Costume page confirms that "Festive hats in your inventory prior to the December 17th, 2009 update will still replace your headgear, and not make use of the Costume Headpiece slot." 76.164.65.219 22:14, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
