Buff please? It's not that this is that horrible of a skill, considering the duration, but something like "For 30 seconds this skills does nothing, when it ends all foes in the area loose one enchantment" would be a lot more practical.Barkingllama 06:33, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

This is a very original idea. Pluto 00:33, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

And when has the skill designers of the Guild Wars team ever place creativity in designing the skills? If you notice, all of the professions have different skills, but do almost exactly the same thing as the rest of their skills do. But yeah this skill could use a little buff.William Wallace 03:23, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

The idea is to precast this, it last one whole minute! Then when done, cast again, you remove two enchantments for little to no cost. It activates in less than one second, part of the cost you get it back from mysticism although not being in any of the Dervish skill trees this skill is not very friendly for other classes unlike something called Dash.--Wealedout 03:43, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

The hit need to activate this doesnt have to be a normal attack. Chilling victory's second hit seem to activate this skills aswell, hurting shadow forming in areas with mobs that carry this skill... i have multiple times lost an shadow for this way. 62.198.195.94 17:08, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

Woah, so you're saying... o.o -- Halogod35 TALK TO ME NAO plz. :D 17:16, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
Does anyone know if the disenchant happens before or after the cold damage from Chilling Victory? Not that it really matters, the dervish is going to kill a permaform 'sin unless they're using a cover enchant over Shadow Form. Still, it's nice to know if this skill is an insta-kill or if it's going to take a second longer while the dervish swings the scythe one more time. 64.32.249.154 22:52, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
You do need to hit in order to remove an enchantment from your target. With SF up, you cannot hit the assassin. Though it would be a good buff to make it remove an enchantment on ATTACKING (but only after the attack). The 20 second recharge would prevent in from becoming too ABSURD -=- Koda Kumi User Koda Kumi UT.jpeg talk
This combo (Chilling Victory with Intimidating Aura) has been verified to remove Shadow Form. Intimidating Aura counts the cold damage from the attack skill as a hit (since it's an attack skill and not a touch skill) and so it triggers the enchant removal (even though the scythe attack actually misses). I'm asking if the cold damage happens before or after the enchant removal. At a high enough scythe mastery, (or wind prayers in PvP) the cold damage from Chilling Victory will do enough damage to make this an instant kill unless the assasin is under a damage reducing enchantment or has an armor enhancement of some kind. That is, if it hits after the enchantment removal. 64.32.249.154 18:22, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Intimidating Aura Bug[edit]

Just got around to testing this, and it's actually much broader than indicated above. Damage from spells like Flare and Savannah Heat will cause Intimidating Aura to end and remove an enchantment, if possible, from your target. MA Anathe 00:30, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Update: Pieced together the inconsistencies in the puzzle. The skills that don't trigger intimidating aura all deal damage that ignores armor. Interesting. So, Flame Trap can trigger, Dust Trap can't. MA Anathe 00:59, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

So this skill barely resembles its old version, huh?[edit]

How would it synergize with something like Stoneflesh Aura now? Is there a cap on stacking dmg reduction?--66.229.220.115 17:42, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

The synergy is with the Victory skills (Chilling, Crippling and Sweep) and that it's a good long duration enchantment to activate he armor buff of Mysticism for PvE. I know that there are people who would prefer Eternal Aura over this but the damage reduction it offers is nice to have. Da Mystic Reaper 00:26, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
