Exploration Issue[edit]

Am I the only one who seems to be unable to explore parts of this area? Particularly at the ettin cave in the northeast corner, it's not clearing the map fog as it shows in the region map File:Iron Horse Mine map.jpg, even when I scrape right at the edges. Donlik 05:42, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

A good indicator is whether the mini-map is sharply defined. If it isn't then despite exploration it will not become more defined. A good example is in the Far Shiverpeaks, just beyond the edge of the map it becomes very blurred on the mini-map which corresponds to the main map. Spax 20:11, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
Use TexMod and the Cartographer Made Easy texture pack which you download separately. (ATTENTION: Many anti virus programs assume that TexMod is a virus because it's designed to modify other program's memory space, in this case the graphics.) Example Screenshot - Ander01 21:46, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Vanqing[edit]

Vanquished at 174 foes. Alex Morningstar 23:32, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

Vanquished at 179 foes. 23 July 2008, last/lost group was patrol at NE corner of area. 75.104.128.56 02:57, 24 July 2008 (UTC) (Morbid Optics)

I had the same search for the missing few, again found in the NE, just in to the tunnel. There must be a significant patrol range for some foes. Spax 20:11, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

The heaps of Sages using Empathy coupled with Alesia not having any Hex removal makes this area tedious as hell for physicals :/ Lyra ValoUser Lyra Valo Sig.jpg 01:50, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

186 foes, 49min, vanq/maping. Dryders are annoying but not deadly. Recomend either a quick hex removal or a couple hex removals througout team simply so you dont have AI stopping and healing every 10ft between fights (doesnt hurt for empathy removal for you physicals either). The dolyak healers in general come in 1 per team but they patrol the same paths so may pile up on top of you. 1 or 2 enchant removals and simple target changing makes them weak healers though. DO NOT underestimate the stone summit physicals. They hit hard. Take some, or a combination of: block, AR or prot skills, blind or weakness. The summit sage/howlers/ice golems are just annoying and not much else. A balanced team will serve you well here. Justice 22:45, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

171 foes (killed 1 or 2 peacefuls), 50mins. Doing caravan from TOA so 3 people, 5 heroes. Didn't have problems except for finding the last groups with their patrol range. - Monsta 00:26, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

Aidan?[edit]

I've seen Aidan spawn here among the ettins near the stone summit beastmaster quest boss. He is killed almost immediately. Anyone else seen him? I wonder what that is about.74.176.3.18 07:58, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

Talk:Aidan#Spawning You can see during the dialogue on the quest page that he speaks during it and offers to lend help vs the summit. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 11:39, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

Snow Wolf[edit]

Level 24 Stone Summit Howler appeared, named as Snow Wolf, not a howler as he should have been. Is this something that happens in any area sometimes? Wiith animals and npcs sometimes getting name issues? I would take a screen but I thought of that later. Puk 12:52, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

Also, to add to my curiousity, there was one lone minotaur in the whole map, and he just happened to be my last vq kill. Anyone else notice that? Puk 13:45, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
