Spirit or not?[edit]

I have been seeing them in Secret Lair of Snowmen. Do they count as spirits for Ritualist spells ? Farlong 11:53, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

According to the fourth note (The "spirit" is a non-fleshy creature and vulnerable to both hexes and conditions. ), it's not. But i wanted to check this, you can possibly kill them with spirit-destroying spells...do a run, take Consume Soul and check :P —ZerphatalkThe Improver 12:00, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Duplicate Spirits[edit]

During the 2009 Wintersday in July event, I have been playing my ritualist extensively in the arena, and have noticed that it is possible to have two Jack Frost spirits, summoned by the same person, on the field at one time. If placed far enough apart (roughly one side of the arena to the other) a single ritualist can "control" two spirits for the full duration. 71.34.12.151 03:46, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

That's true about any Binding Ritual. You can have two Bloodsongs attacking the same person. 99.58.115.182 00:53, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

Campaign?[edit]

I think that Jack Frost should be marked as a Core or maybe EotN skill, but not as a Factions skill. It's especially obvious because Wintersday never had a place in Factions, it's a Core except of Factions event. --Slavic 21:31, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

agree

Spirit or not again[edit]

"Note: The 'spirit' is actually called Jack Frost rather than Spirit of Jack Frost." The skill says it creates a Jack Frost, not a Spirit of Jack Frost, so this goes without saying. It even calls it a "creature" rather than a spirit. I think it's safe to assume that it isn't a spirit at all, but just the sole binding ritual which summons a non-spirit creature. The page just looks too rough as-is, with all those quotation marks on it. If we're really not sure if it's a spirit (and I guess we can't be certain) then we should say that outright and call it a creature for the purposes of the notes. Wintersday is coming along shortly and we could probably test it somehow, if that would help make us more certain. Discuss, if there's no objections I'll edit it accordingly just so it looks less messy. --[-Kyoshi-]::[-Talk-] 06:12, 1 December 2009 (UTC)

Just checked in the Secret Lair of the Snowmen, and Consume Soul stole all its health. So it's a summoned creature, at least, but it might count as a minion, similar to Flesh Golems. I'm gonna run more tests with different skills. --[-Kyoshi-]::[-Talk-] 19:43, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
And Signet of Binding takes control of them, and Verata's Gaze lists them as an invalid target. We have here the only spirit vulnerable to hexes and all conditions. Editing the page accordingly. EDIT: Sorry, that was me, and so was the IP edit of the main page. --[-Kyoshi-]::[-Talk-] 21:38, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
