Clean Up[edit]

What needs to be done to clean this article up? It looks good to me. Mohnzh 23:09, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

The categorys are all in the wrong place & I am pretty sure there are alot more quests than that. — Eloc 23:44, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, Eloc. That's about all I can do for now. I am only aware of the two quests listed. Several other take place in the area, but I don't know of any others given. If anyone else could, point them out or fill them in. Mohnzh 07:39, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
Np. I'd do it but quests just aren't my area of expertise for putting them on the Wiki. Besides, I already did all the quests there, so I have no clue which ones are left too do. — Eloc 07:43, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
With everything in the proper order now, but only quest information missing, should this article have its tag switched to stub from clean-up? Mohnzh 20:39, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
Sure. — Eloc 02:58, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Elder Spider[edit]

This is listed in the Charmable Animals section of NPCs, however I don't think that is correct. It is already an enemy as it is charmed by the boss there. It is my understanding that you cannot charm and enemy's pet. -- RavenJWolfe User RavenJWolfe Icon4sig.png 09:27, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

You can charm a Heket's Crocodile, but you cant Charm this one ;)Aerie 03:51, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

Disruption?[edit]

Anthem of Disruption Anthem of Disruption Eloc 21:31, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

Shining Blade Warriors[edit]

should something be mentioned about the group of dead shining blade warriors in the south east? 89.242.78.247 18:21, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

I'm wondering if they're post-WiK, or even post-HotN, and tie in there somehow, since no one seems to have mentioned them before now. Can anyone who hasn't completed WiK/HotN check to see if they're there in the small village in the SE corner?AtlaWolffriend 13:15, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
They were there when EoTN launched, so no, they are not WiK-related. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 15:43, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Facet of Illusions[edit]

Need an entry for another boss?

(Mesmer) 28 (30) Facet of Illusions → Mantra of Recall (only during The Cipher of Lyssa)

Music[edit]

The music here, as well as in the other Asuran areas, is very reminiscent of Mussorgskiy's pictures at an exhibition - worth mentioning and if so: where?. 79.75.19.89 18:16, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

New Bridge?[edit]

There appears to be a new Bridge located in the Magus stones, cutting across a small portion of heket land when one leaves Rata sum heading in the direction of Oola's lab. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:207.216.40.50 (talk).

~ rep points[edit]

~ 3-9k? LOL. Indeed that is pretty rough estimate. But wait, flawless runs can widen that range by another 4k! Justice 18:13, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Wrong?[edit]

The word "Μάγος" is written in ancient Greek and not Persian. I saw in the dictionary thingy that it was "magUs" in Persian.

vanqing[edit]

376 foes, 1hr 16min, vanq only since I dont need EoTN maping anymore for MoTN. The difference between this and nm is most apparent in the wind rider patrol speeds. The only true deadly place is the wind rider mobs. Most of the map is balanced mobs that any rag tag 8 man team can handle. The only real recomendation is flagging a hero foward (any will do) or have/be a good tank and get ahead of the group when aggroing wind riders. Hopefully they will dump every thing on you while team comes up and nukes them. Deal with them quickly (they are soft bellies) as they can nuke your team with cry of pain and spread lots of those lovely buffed mesmer hexes (heavy dgen with annoying side affects). There are some healers and self heal foes here but the mob sizes are small enough that focus fire alone will bring them down with little worry about your team being worn down first. Justice 02:47, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

Minor correction--you mean Cry of Frustration, not Cry of Pain. Minor slip, but I figure it's worth noting just so others don't get confused. Some good advice. Interrupt blockers like Mantra of Resolve or Pious Concentration are really nice in this area, particularly if you're a caster. In addition to the Wind Riders, there's a lot of Krait, and the Hypnoss also carry interrupts (Power Drain and Power Leech backed by Frustration). --Jonsp 02:56, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

382 foes, 40 min. -Chieftain Alex 19:48, 2 November 2013 (UTC)

~ about 390 foes in an hour. Windriders are somewhat dangerous, but other than that a somewhat docile area. The krait can be really spread out, the hylek tend to clump together. What makes the riders dangerous are the really quick patrol paths where 2-3 groups can intersect if you're not careful. The area has a bunch of different alcoves and veins where patrols seem to wander as was where my last group of krait was. Not a particularly dangerous area with a modern set of heroes; w/ Mesmers handling things with Energy Surge and Ineptitude. --LunarRXA (talk) 19:13, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

Wind Riders[edit]

Anyone noticed if these are hostile to anything else? I left their area last and when I came to vanqing it, there were 3-4 riders in their own isolated groups, like solo riders, very easy to mop up, the only group that looked whole was the boss riders group. Vanquish Bug[edit]

Picked up the Zaishen vanquish today and completed it with no active quests (385 enemies). Up pops the Yellow helmet with the stats showing in the middle of the screen and the Red Helmet turns yellow in the top left corner. I map back to GToB to collect the bounty to be greeted with no reward dialogue from Zenchu. I map back to LA and check my Map - Magus Stones still red (unvanquished). How can the in game indicators show vanquish completion and then revert to unvanquished?

Asura rep farm[edit]

I've recently spent a lot of time vanquishing the Tarnished Coast (mostly Arbor Bay) to max my Asura title, and I was amazed to find how insanely easy it is to chain a single hunt rampage across this entire zone. Mobs are hardly ever more than an aggro bubble away from each other, making it exceptionally feasible to keep the bonus up for the entire map. On top of that, this is one of the faster vanquishes in the Tarnished Coast, with only one real trouble spot around the Wind Riders. I've added a pip in the Notes section about this, and how it makes for the best Asura farm I've come to find so far. - a la VivienneRunestone Elementalist-tango-icon-20.png 22:56, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
